Trump 2.0? (becoming formidable candidate)
PowerlineBlog.com ^ | AUGUST 19, 2016 | JOHN HINDERAKER

Posted on 08/20/2016 4:59:35 PM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

Over the last week, Donald Trump has delivered a series of remarkable speeches that have, in my view, reinvigorated his candidacy. The most recent was yesterday, in Charlotte. The speech has gotten a lot of attention, much of it directed to Trump’s sort-of-apology for some of the rude things he said during the primary season. No doubt Trump is trying to unify the party and mend fences, but in context, his words of regret that have been widely quoted are hardly abject. Rather, Trump postures himself primarily as a truth-teller:

I’ve never wanted to use the language of the insiders, and I’ve never been politically correct – it takes far too much time, and can often make more difficult [sic].

Sometimes, in the heat of debate and speaking on a multitude of issues, you don’t choose the right words or you say the wrong thing. I have done that, and I regret it, particularly where it may have caused personal pain. Too much is at stake for us to be consumed with these issues.

But one thing I can promise you is this: I will always tell you the truth.

I speak the truth for all of you, and for everyone in this country who doesn’t have a voice.

I speak the truth on behalf of the factory worker who lost his or her job.

I speak the truth on behalf of the Veteran who has been denied the medical care they need – and so many are not making it. They are dying.

I speak the truth on behalf of the family living near the border that deserves to be safe in their own country but is instead living with no security at all.
***
So while sometimes I can be too honest, Hillary Clinton is the exact opposite: she never tells the truth. One lie after another, and getting worse each passing day.

That is not what I would call an apology, nor is it directed to anyone in particular (e.g., John McCain).

What is notable about Trump’s speech, in my opinion, is not that much-hyped expression of regret. Rather, it is the inclusive tone that he adopted and seamlessly incorporated into the powerful themes he has articulated in his recent set-piece speeches. Repeatedly, Trump appealed for African-American votes:

We cannot make America Great Again if we leave any community behind.

Nearly four in ten African-American children are living in poverty. I will not rest until children of every color in this country are fully included in the American Dream.

Jobs, safety, opportunity. Fair and equal representation. This is what I promise to African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, and all Americans.
***
On education, we are going to give students choice, and allow charter schools to thrive. We are going to end tenure policies that reward bad teachers and hurt good ones. My opponent wants to deny students choice and opportunity, all to get a little bit more money from the education bureaucracy. She doesn’t care how many young dreams are dashed in the process.

We are going to work closely with African-American parents and students in the inner cities – and what a big difference that will make. This means a lot to me, and it is going to be a top priority in a Trump Administration.
***
Finally, we are going to bring this country together. We are going to do it by emphasizing what we all have in common as Americans. We are going to reject the bigotry of Hillary Clinton, which sees communities of color only as votes and not as human beings worthy of a better future.

If African-American voters give Donald Trump a chance by giving me their vote, the result for them will be amazing. Look at how badly things are going under decades of Democratic leadership – look at the schools, look at the 58% of young African-Americans not working. It is time for change.

What do you have to lose by trying something new? – I will fix it. This means so much to me, and I will work as hard as I can to bring new opportunity to places in our country which have not known opportunity in a very long time.

Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party have taken African-American votes totally for granted. Because the votes have been automatically there, there has been no reason for Democrats to produce.

It is time to break with the failures of the past, and to fight for every last American child in this country to have the better future they deserve.

In my Administration, every American will be treated equally, protected equally, and honored equally. We will reject bigotry and hatred and oppression in all of its forms, and seek a new future built on our common culture and values as one American people.

To the extent that African-American voters hear those appeals, I think they are powerful. Note how Trump weaves his appeal to black voters, gays, etc. into his discussion of immigration:

On immigration, we will temporarily suspend immigration from any place where adequate screening cannot be performed. All applicants for immigration will be vetted for ties to radical ideology, and we will screen out anyone who doesn’t share our values and love our people. Anyone who believes Sharia law supplants American law will not be given an immigrant visa. If you want to join our society, then you must embrace our society, our values and our tolerant way of life. Those who believe in oppressing women, gays, Hispanics, African-Americans and people of different faiths are not welcome to join our country.

Liberal commentators have bashed Trump so obsessively with regard to his views on immigration that they seem to have lost sight of the fact that he is on the winning side of the issue. How does Hillary respond to this?

Another major issue in this campaign has been the border. Our open border has allowed drugs and crime and gangs to pour into our communities. So much needless suffering, so much preventable death. I’ve spent time with the families of wonderful Americans whose loved ones were killed by the open borders and Sanctuary Cities that Hillary Clinton supports.

I’ve embraced the crying parents who’ve lost their children to violence spilling across our border. Parents like Laura Wilkerson and Michelle Root and Sabine Durden and Jamiel Shaw whose children were killed by illegal immigrants.

My opponent supports Sanctuary Cities.

But where was the sanctuary for Kate Steinle? Where was the sanctuary for the children of Laura, Michelle, Sabine and Jamiel?

Where was the sanctuary for every other parent who has suffered so horribly?

These moms and dads don’t get a lot of consideration from our politicians. They certainly don’t get apologies. They’ll never even get the time of day from Hillary Clinton.

But they will always come first to me.

How does Hillary counter that? She can’t. She just hopes Trump’s message is muffled by the press.

Finally, Trump postures himself as the outsider who can clean up a corrupt government. Ten years ago, the assertion that our national government is hopelessly corrupt would have been implausible. Today, it resonates with a majority of voters. So this is an effective theme:

I have no patience for injustice, no tolerance for government incompetence, no sympathy for leaders who fail their citizens.

That’s why I am running: to end the decades of bitter failure and to offer the American people a new future of honesty, justice and opportunity. A future where America, and its people, always – and I mean always – come first.

Aren’t you tired of a system that gets rich at your expense?

Aren’t you tired of the same old lies and the same old broken promises? And Hillary Clinton has proven to be one of the greatest liars of all time.

Aren’t you tired of arrogant leaders who look down on you, instead of serving and protecting you?
***
I have no special interest. I am spending millions of dollars on my own campaign – nobody else is.

My only interest is the American people.

Don’t underestimate the appeal of the candidate who is rich and therefore won’t use public office to get wealthy, like the Clintons, and doesn’t need to follow the lead of donors and lobbyists. I have seen focus group data suggesting that in today’s climate, this theme–I am rich, and therefore I can’t be bought–is one of the most popular among voters.

Finally, Trump attacked the liberal media, as he has consistently throughout his campaign. This, too, is very popular:

The establishment media doesn’t cover what really matters in this country, or what’s really going on in people’s lives. They will take words of mine out of context and spend a week obsessing over every single syllable, and then pretend to discover some hidden meaning in what I said.

Just imagine for a second if the media spent this energy holding the politicians accountable who got innocent Americans like Kate Steinle killed – she was gunned down by an illegal immigrant who had been deported five times.

Just imagine if the media spent this much time investigating the poverty and joblessness in our inner cities.

Just think about how much different things would be if the media in this country sent their cameras to our border, or to our closing factories, or to our failing schools. Or if the media focused on what dark secrets must be hidden in the 33,000 emails Hillary Clinton deleted.

Instead, every story is told from the perspective of the insiders. It’s the narrative of the people who rigged the system, never the voice of the people it’s been rigged against.

In my opinion, Donald Trump is becoming a formidable candidate. On the key issues that he talks about the most, he takes positions that are, I think, both right and popular, with one exception–trade. He has given a series of excellent speeches, more or less as they were written, thereby demonstrating a discipline that was sorely lacking earlier in the campaign. No one should underestimate his populist appeal, including his appeal to minority voters.

Hillary Clinton, who at the moment is resting up from the rigors of the campaign while Trump tours Louisiana–she is an elderly lady, after all–can only hope that her allies in the press block voters from hearing what Trump is saying.

Go read Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games trilogy. Her description of the capital of the fictional capital of Panem might as well been describing a combination of Washington, DC, New York City and Los Angeles--a center of power and hedonism for a small group of people who'll do anything to keep it that way, even if they have to squash the "little people."

One really wonders did Trump read the Hunger Games trilogy (or knows its pertinent plot details through one of his children who actually read the trilogy).

Which the evil demonic mediawhores are doing a hell of a bang up job! I have never seen anything like the viciousness of the cable news against trump! Apparently the beast is already forming her White House agenda and getting things in order and ordering the drapes for the WH windows! I just pray to God that Trump does trump her!

Trump has been honing his skills in the jungle since they let him out of college. He will PLAN, IMPLEMENT, OBSERVE then ADJUST as needed. In his world your own money and your own ass are on the line 24/7/365. He’ll learn quickly and adapt because if he doesn’t he will LOSE.

The snippets of Trump’s speeches I have seen recently have been much better than his earlier stuff.

If he can stay on message, not get off on personal vendetta rabbit trails, and will pay to run adds absolutely hammering Shillary he should do just fine.

It will take some serious impulse control on his part, but if he wants to win badly enough he will do it.

Like Trump, The Founding Fathers Weren’t PERFECT EITHER!

A few months ago, I wrote and posted a defense of Donald Trump entitled “Why Would We Elect as President a Guy Who...? In it, I attempted to point out that MANY of those we have elected to the White House (as well as the myriad men and women who occupy high positions) have been – like ALL of us – frail, flawed and fallen fellow human beings and, yes, sinners.

My defense of Trump – but, more critically, the vital need to keep the most corrupt candidate to run for the office in my lifetime OUT of the White House – has led me to do further research into the personalities and character some of the men who played pivotal roles in the formation of this country. I wanted to try and learn if some of THEM would have sparked #nevertrump like groups to spring up in opposition. I cite below some of the fairly well documented historical information I have uncovered.

(For the sake of brevity, I have omitted footnotes. If anyone wishes them, please request via email and I’ll send them.)

“The Father of Our Country, George Washington began producing rye whiskey at Mount Vernon in 1797, reaching a peak production of over 11,000 gallons per year by 1799. He was the largest producer of whiskey in the Colonies. Imagine this fine Christian gentleman becoming a producer of – HORRORS – WHISKEY!! You can still buy his original recipe from the folks now running Mt. Vernon. Search on-line for “George Washington Rye”.
Mt. Vernon is regularly picked by #neverwashington and Christian Temperance groups.

“Whatever qualities define a Founding Father in the minds of many Americans, Thomas Paine probably lacked most of them. He was, according to one acquaintance, ‘course and uncouth in his manners, loathsome in his appearance, and a disgusting egoist.’ And yet this new immigrant from England became the voice of the early Revolution.’ His outspokenness at times got him in trouble, and he often found himself enmeshed in colonial scandals.”

“If Ben Franklin was the elder sage of the Revolution, Washington its heroic warrior and Jefferson its rarefied intellect, John Adam was its messy, tenacious, disputatious, verbose conscience. The powerful French minister the Count de Vergennes once told Congress that Adams ‘...has a rigidity and arrogance and obstinacy that will cause him to foment a thousand unfortunate incidents.’ Adams himself once said ‘Popularity was never my Mistress, now was I ever, or shall I ever be a popular Man.’”
When the 5 man committee to draft the Declaration of Independence was formed, they assigned Jefferson who “...had a reputation of a masterly pen” the task of writing the document. Years later Adams admitted that he removed himself from consideration as he was “obnoxious, suspected and unpopular.” As we all know, despite being “obnoxious, suspected and unpopular” Adams went on to become President.

His enemies often referred to Alexander Hamilton as the “bastard boy” . From the West Indies, his mother, estranged from her legal husband, bore him in a relationship with another man. Hamilton went on to provide invaluable service to the new nation, creating and standing up numbers of institutions that exist to this day.

At 70 years of age when he participated in the drafting of the Declaration, Benjamin Franklin was the elder statesman of the move for independence. A successful businessman and widowed in 1774, he was also later renowned as a lady’s man – and the younger the better. During his frequent visits to Europe, first to England before the Revolution to plead the cause of American independence then to France to enlist French aid in the war with George, III, the stories of Dr. Franklin’s love of the freely given attentions of the ladies were legendary. As what we now call a “senior citizen” it’s doubtful that Dr. Franklin was “up” to return their affections in a more than grandfatherly manner. That said, some things are best left unknown.

Here I shall end this truncated tale of the strong, intelligent, principled, yet FLAWED men who loved America – the IDEA – enough to risk death at the hands of a tyrannical king.

If you cannot draw a parallel between them and the strong, intelligent, principled, yet FLAWED man who also loves America – the IDEA – enough to leave his successful and affluent PRIVATE life in what could well be the last opportunity to snatch America back from the tyrants of today, I fear that I have just wasted the 2 hours it took me to compose it and the 10 minutes or so it took you to read it.

And for that I humbly apologize.

“Over the last week, Donald Trump has delivered a series of remarkable speeches that have, in my view, reinvigorated his candidacy.”

The article begins with an erroneous major premise. Trump’s campaign never was off the rails in the first place. The claim itself was a lie propagated by the lying media. Trump has never been behind the Hildabeast during this entire campaign season. Just as the media attempted to derail Trump during the primaries by misrepresenting the facts and push-polling his adversaries, they continue attempting to derail him to this day, propping up a repugnant Hildabeast that no one but the most rabid and deranged Marxocrat has ever or will ever support. Expect this ongoing lie to persist right up to the very day of the election in November, just like the lying media in Euroland misrepresented the facts about the Brexit vote right up to that election. Do not allow yourself to be a sucker ever again to the machinations, manipulations, and mendacity of the Marxocrats and their MSM shills. Even the likes of putative “conservatives” like Hinderaker and his ilk.

I was in attendance tonight in Virginia. Mr. Trump served up many portions of red meat. The crowd ate it all up and wanted more.

He gets in great digs on HRC by contrasting her track record with his plan.

He even called her a Throwback -

I think he meant someone behind the times, but others thought he meant to throw it back like an unwanted fish.

Either way works so a great line.

Trump is manifesting from the same subconscious process that manifested the trajectory of his life, only at an accelerated rate.

He was dominant and successful, had a lean & troubled period, and then ascended to greater heights and enduring success.

The 2016 election campaign is following the same trajectory. It’s a completely subconscious process.

TRUMP SPEECH IN VIRGINIA: WE WILL BE THE PARTY OF LINCOLN ONCE MORE

Thank you. It is so wonderful to be in Virginia.

Over the next 80 days, we are going to work very hard together, and we are going to win this state – and we are going to win the White House.

It is going to be a new day in America.

Government will listen to the people again.

The voters, not the special interests, will be in charge.

Our economy will grow.

Jobs will come pouring in.

New factories are going to stretch across this nation.

Families are going to be safe and secure. Crime will go down, and law and order will be restored.

Immigration laws will be enforced, and trade deals will protect American workers.

We are going to reject globalism and put America First. It’s going to be America First from now on.

This is the change I am promising. My opponent is the corrupt defender of a rigged system and a failed status quo.

She is an insider fighting for insiders.

I am an outsider fighting for you.

Hillary Clinton is a throwback from Yesterday.

Our campaign is about creating a New American Future.

I am not a politician. I have no special interest. My only interest is you, the American people.

I am running to represent the great majority of Americans – Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Liberals and Conservatives – who turn on the TV every night and don’t see anyone speaking up for them.

This campaign is about giving a voice to those who don’t have one.

I understand the great responsibility you have placed with me, and I will never let you down.

Once more, it will be a government of, by and for the people.

Let’s talk about what my reform agenda will mean for the citizens of Virginia.

First, let’s talk about our amazing Veterans.

The Commonwealth of Virginia is home to about 800,000 Veterans who have served this country.

To all Veterans here tonight, and across this nation I say: Thank You. We will never let you down.

The Obama-Clinton Administration has betrayed our Veterans, and it’s betrayed them badly.

Veterans are dying waiting for the care they need.

That ends – and it ends fast – under a Trump Administration.

I have a detailed ten-point plan on Veterans reform, available on my website.

At the center of the plan is Veterans’ choice. The VA will remain a public system because it is a public trust. But Veterans will have the right to either seek care at a VA facility, or to go to a private doctor or medical clinic. Never again will we allow a Veteran to die waiting for the care they need.

A Trump Administration will also rebuild our depleted military.

The best way to keep our troops out of harm’s way, and to keep our nation out of preventable conflicts, is to remember those famous words: Peace Through Strength.

Unfortunately, our active duty armed forces have shrunk from 2 million in 1991 to about 1.3 million today.

The Navy has shrunk from over 500 ships to 272 ships during this same period of time.

The Air Force is about one-third smaller than 1991.

President Obama has proposed a 2017 defense budget that in real dollars, cuts nearly 25 percent from what we were spending in 2011.

We face threats as never before, but the Obama-Clinton Administration is determined to keep shrinking our military. That’s probably because President Obama has said he thinks the greatest threat we face is Global Warming.

Remember, President Obama and Hillary Clinton can’t even say the words: Radical Islamic Terrorism.

Now, while President Obama and Hillary Clinton are shrinking America’s military, they are expanding the military of Iran. They are doing this with their disastrous deal that puts Iran on the path to nuclear weapons, and gives them another $150 billion dollars – not to mention the $400 million dollars in cash ransom payments.

Let’s also not forget that Hillary Clinton’s disastrous Middle East policies unleashed ISIS onto the world – a fact for which Hillary Clinton has expressed zero remorse. She will never be able to fix the ISIS problem that her policies created.

Yet, as our military was depleted on Hillary Clinton’s watch, things turned out really well for her. The Clintons made $60 million dollars in gross income while she was Secretary of State, plus countless more to the Clinton Foundation.

It’s called pay-for-play.

She even created an illegal private email server – one easily hacked by our foreign enemies – to hide her corrupt dealings. Then, she deleted 33,000 emails to try and cover her tracks. She lied about it all, even to Congress.

A Trump Administration will end the government corruption. No one will be above the law.

Let’s talk about another major issue here in Virginia: Energy.

I visited the hardworking miners in this state. They are tremendous people who only want to be able to do their jobs, provide for their families and power this country.

We are going to put our great miners and steel workers back to work.

But Hillary Clinton wants to put them out of a job.

Let’s repeat her infamous words. Clinton vowed that she would “put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business.”

According to the Energy Information Administration, the U.S. has the largest recoverable coal reserves in the world. These reserves are located in Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Illinois – to name a few examples.

Over 90 percent of U.S. coal is used for electricity.

In other words, my plan will make your energy bill cheaper.

Hillary Clinton’s anti-energy agenda is a massive tax on the poor.

In January of 2016, the Obama Administration announced a moratorium on new coal leases on federal lands. This comes on the heels of many other anti-coal regulations from the Obama Administration. Virginia, the largest exporter of coal in the United States, will be crushed by these Obama-Clinton policies.

Absolutely crushed.

Thanks to the Obama-Clinton agenda, coal exports from the Port of Virginia – the largest port for coal exportation in the U.S. – have declined significantly the last 3 years. Virginia has seen a stunning 70 percent decline in coal jobs since 1990.

Hillary Clinton will finish the mining industry off for good.

We won’t let that happen.

According to the Heritage Foundation, by 2030, the Obama-Clinton energy restrictions will eliminate another half a million manufacturing jobs, reduce economic output to $2.5 trillion dollars, and reduce incomes by $7,000 dollars per person.

A Trump Administration will end the Obama-Clinton war on the American worker.

We will unleash an energy revolution the likes of which we have never seen before.

According to the Institute for Energy Research, lifting the restrictions on all sources of American energy will:

--Increase GDP by more than $100 billion dollars annually

--Add over 500,000 new jobs annually

--Increase annual wages by more than $30 billion dollars over the next 7 years

--Increase federal, state, and local tax revenues by almost $6 trillion dollars over 4 decades

--Increase total economic activity by more than $20 trillion dollars over the next 40 years.

Doesn’t that sound good to you?

Hillary Clinton will Make America Poor. I want to Make America Wealthy Again.

Another industry of huge importance to this state, and country, is agriculture.

Farmers are the backbone of America. Agriculture and forestry, combined, provide over 400,000 jobs right here in the Commonwealth.

But the massive regulations and EPA interventions from the Obama-Clinton Administration have devastated America’s farmers, agriculture and forestry workers.

Hillary Clinton supports every last job-killing Obama regulation, and wants to go even further. She wants to put the farmers out of business, just like she wants to put the miners and steel workers out of business.

In fact, Hillary Clinton’s $1.3 trillion dollar tax hike would raise taxes on family farms to as much as nearly fifty percent. She even wants to tax them again at death by as much as 45 percent. It’s a war on farmers.

A Trump Administration will be a pro-agriculture Administration.

I just announced the new members of my Agricultural Advisory Committee, and they include Virginia’s own Congressman Bob Goodlatte.

Together, we are going to work on reforms to support our family farms and boost agricultural production in America.

That begins with hiring a pro-farmer pro-American energy head of the EPA.

It also means I am going to eliminate the destructive and invasive Waters of the United States rule that was unilaterally issued by this Administration. This rule is so extreme it gives federal agencies control over creeks and small streams – even puddles – on private property.

I am also going to cut taxes for family farms – down to fifteen percent. On top of that, we are going to end the death tax on family farms, which has severely injured this family industry and the American tradition of family farming.

Then, by unleashing American energy – including coal – we are going to make it easier, cheaper and less expensive to produce, saving money for consumers as well. This will give America the competitive edge it needs.

Finally, on this subject, when we negotiate trade deals, we will make sure they are fair and balanced – no more one-sided trade deals where we open our markets but they close theirs. Not anymore.

Another issue I’d like to address briefly today is very important to everyone in this state and country: law and order.

I was honored to meet today with Stafford County Sheriff’s Deputy Brandon Boyle, who sustained five gunshot wounds this summer in the line of duty.

I want to take a moment today to thank all the men and women who serve this country as law enforcement officers. We thank you, and we stand with you.

I am proud to have the support of the Law Enforcement Community. By contrast, Hillary Clinton is banking on her friend Terry McAuliffe getting thousands of violent felons to the voting booths, in an effort to cancel out the votes of both the law enforcement community and crime victims.

At the same time, Hillary Clinton wants to essentially abolish the 2nd amendment for law-abiding Americans. She wants to overturn the Supreme Court ruling that affirmed the 2nd Amendment as a private right, so that any city or state in this country can ban private gun ownership.

We will save the 2nd amendment, and appoint judges who will protect your freedoms.

One more issue central to law and order is having a secure immigration system.

Failed Governor Tim Kaine – on whose watch Virginia’s unemployment rate more than doubled – allowed illegal immigration in Virginia to massively increase. By the way, less than a week into entering office, Tim Kaine proposed nearly $4 billion dollars in new taxes – including a tax increase on people earning as little as $17,000 a year.

Overall, the illegal immigrant population in Virginia has nearly tripled since 2000, putting enormous pressure on schools and public services. It’s getting worse now as thousands of recent border-crossers are being relocated to the state.

The people hurt most by our open border are low-income Hispanic and African-Americans who are competing for jobs and community resources against new lower-wage arrivals.

Our open border is also being used as a recruiting tool for criminal gangs, creating a growing gang problem right here in the state of Virginia where a large number of gang members are in the country illegally.

We are going to end this chaos and restore peace, law and order to our land.

Finally, today, I’d like to address an issue of great and deep personal importance to me.

In recent days, across this country, I’ve asked the African-American community to honor me with their vote. I fully recognize that outreach to the African-American community is an area where the Republican Party must do better.

The GOP is the Party of Lincoln, and I want our party to be the home of the African-American vote once again. I want an inclusive country, and I want an inclusive party.

We reject the bigotry of Hillary Clinton who sees people of color only as votes, not as human beings worthy of a better future.

We’ve seen what the Democratic policies have done in cities like Detroit, Baltimore and Chicago.

Now, Hillary Clinton wants to make things worse by raising taxes on 2.6 million African-American owned businesses in this country.

My goal is to provide every African-American child in this country with access to the ladder of American success: a good education, and a good-paying job.

This includes school choice. It means reforming regulations so young Americans can get the credit they need to start a small business. It means trade and immigration policies that put American workers at the front of the line.

Hillary Clinton’s amnesty plan will give jobs, benefits and Social Security to millions of people here illegally at taxpayer expense.

On top of that, according to the U.S. Senate Immigration Subcommittee, her plan would bring 620,000 refugees in her first term alone.

She would rather provide a job to a refugee living overseas than a young unemployed African-American youth in Virginia.

A Trump Administration will put American workers first.

Americanism, not globalism, will be our credo.

We will bring America together as one country again – united as Americans in common purpose and common dreams.

A thriving economy.

A strong border.

A powerful military.

A peaceful nation.

A rising standard of living.

This is what I promise you.

Let’s get out there and win on November 8th.

Together, We Will Make America Wealthy Again

We Will Make America Proud Again.

We Will Make America Safe Again.

And We Will Make America Great Again For Each And Every American.

Thank you, and God Bless You!

Hillary Clinton, who at the moment is resting up from the rigors of the campaign while Trump tours Louisiana–she is an elderly lady, after all–can only hope that her allies in the press block voters from hearing what Trump is saying.
IMO, that's exactly what the late evening report from Univision represents...an attempt by the MSM to derail Trump's momentum.

They're hoping the "reneging on immigration" meme gets distributed so widely it will cause precious time and effort to be used to extinguish the fire and get the Trump team off track.

We'll see.
