President Barack Obama has decided to stay on the golf course in Martha’s Vineyard, despite Louisiana getting hit by floods that are causing one of the worst U.S. natural disasters since Hurricane Sandy.

But golf is so important! (/sarc) Let the poor slobs in Louisiana suffer without me. I believe Mr. Trump and Governor Pence are going to Louisiana today. Also, where is Hitlery?
The really crummy part of this is that a visit by the President actually makes things worse.
The security detail, the dog and pony shows, the focus on the President keeps others from being able to do the work that needs to be done.
So a President who is trying to stay out of the way while lives are being saved is savaged by the press, while one who does the whole camera tour of showing they “care” is made out to be a saint.
Remember Bush’s plane ride and tour above Louisiana after Katrina?
Great.
And to answer my own question - from that story - “Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton has not said if she plans to tour the damage left behind in the Gulf State.”
Am sure Hitlery could care less about the victims of the flooding disaster - and she could probably not endure meeting with any of “those people”.
Obama, “Hey, I’ve got my own water hazard to deal with”.
Funny how the smartest president and smartest Secretary of State are now where to be found. I guess they are both so divine that can’t be bothered.
He’s just playing around the water hazard.
While one Mr. Donald J. Trump and Gov. Mike Pence go out of their way to show support to a state in need. That is leadership.
This is actually very good for later in the campaign. Obama has said he is going to spend all of October on the campaign trail to support Hillary. Well, the contrast between supporting one of his “buddies” and Americans actually suffering is going to be very stark indeed.

Steve Doocy reported earlier this morning on Fox and Friends that Donald Trump and Mike Pence will visit the flood area in Louisiana today.
Can you imagine if Bush did this? The entire Bush family should come out swinging; demanding obama he held to account.
Today’s golf course has a few doglegs on it that kind of look like Louisiana so that’s good enough.
I understand the visual, but the truth on the ground is that their visit will take much needed resources away from the actual effort.
Why should he suffer? It’s not like he can fix it with his pen and phone or anything.
It’s above his “play grade”.
Pres. Obama:
“Why should I go look at a bunch of homes that black people don’t live in, and are owned by a bunch of white bucktoothed crackers who don’t speak right?”
I really don't have a problem with BathHouse Barry Soetoro staying on vacation. I mean, what's he supposed to do about heavy rainfall? He's not running for re-election, there's nothing in it for him so why go down there? It's hot,it's humid and there's tons of poor people down there-many of them are "people of color"
