It’s not a matter of choosing to tolerate it. It’s a matter of credit evaporating, and suddenly no cash machine or credit card reader in the country/world works, and nobody has much (if any) money.
That’s why it will happen fast and dramatically. As one guy said around 2009, when it does happen, you will be on the freeway stuck in miles of stopped cars, and you need to get out of your car and walk because those cars will be there for YEARS.
Yes. I’ve retired that name. This one fits better. It’s what a couple of my neighbors call me as in Green Acres. :-)
I now have 103,000 miles on it. It’s been an incredible blast on my 160 mile round trip commute on the KY twisties these three years. I drift every day, and have gone through 5 sets of tires. But they are autocross tires so I’m actually getting fairly good miles, for the handling I’m enjoying. It’s a slot car.
See previous posts to this one.
Yes, my wife and I met at our 25 year class reunion 19 years ago. Currently enjoying 18 years of marital bliss beyond what I ever imagined was possible. The Lord continues to bless on a daily basis.
Thanks. I really need to add to it. I’ve got dozens that I’ve not posted yet. Some of my facebook friends say I need to create a coffee table book...
[ For those who have already lost their job, their home or the secure structure that once defined their life, the collapse is already here. ]
Hardly has truth ever been more grounded in the reality of this statement. A lot of people have no idea what’s going on. Yet this beast advances towards them. They laugh in disbelief: It could never happen to them; they’re too smart.
I predicted, essentially, the housing collapse. For I was already living it. My then boss, mocked. It’s all cycles.
He couldn’t see beyond his nose, ever.
[The idea that if a collapse happens, one will be free to live in the countryside living off the land and a root cellar is frankly, preposterous.]
You are absolutely correct FRiend.
Yes, that might work for a while. It certainly will be close to impossible once the Great Tribulation begins, 3.5 years into the Tribulation. The Mark of the Beast comes at the beginning of the Great Tribulation. There will be no property taxes paid, no city water, no electricity, etc. without the Mark. Got a well? Great. The Antichrist will still know who you are if you’re without the Mark.
It only gets better in Revelation 19 when the real Jesus shows up.
(for the thread - not preaching at you personally)
But, if we have a little time before the Tribulation starts, it is a good thing to prepare, IMHO.
Oh, in 2007 I meant to say.
WTH? Are you really conflating swift justice with replacing the faith? Seriously?
I submit that what we have now - where criminals convicted of everything up to and including 1st degree murder (ie; cold-blooded, intentional, premeditated killing of an innocent human being) get meals and medical care at taxpayer expense for decades while they run out their appeals - is an absolute MOCKERY of justice.
Exactly correct.
Also, illegal aliens were brought in first, so the declining Middle Class has no where to go. Who will pay Whitey $12 an hour plus all the gov overhead, when Julio will do the same job for 33% less, be off the books, and will never complain or demand a raise?
I seem to remember an ideology whose success necessitated the destruction of the Middle Class.
I agree.
What do you think causes this new sensitivity in perception?
Thanks. I remember you now. I do contract work for Microsoft, and have to fly to Seattle a couple of times a year, so I remember your story about leaving there and going to Kentucky. I had the pleasure last year of driving to Chicago for Microsoft Ignite and driving thru Kentucky, first up 24 and then back on 65. Beautifully gorgeous state!
When ever I travel my mind wonders what it would be like to farm a place. Kentucky in late May looks like a well watered farmer’s paradise. Green rolling hills and forested bottoms.
And yes, Mr. Douglas is a perfect name! Is your bride a Hungarian? :-)
What do you think causes this new sensitivity in perception?
i.e. as more and more people are directly impacted by what is REALLY going on, it will be harder and harder to successfully push the “everything’s fine” mantra.
Is your bride a Hungarian?
HAHAHA! Nope. Better. She’s Irish. :-)
They truly are an amoral bunch; they’ve justified supporting a criminal for their own ends...
Definitely; in “Animal Farm” the older animals who remembered better times were just an obstacle to the pigs as they rewrote history while taking power for themselves. Within a few years there won’t be many children left from middle-class families that remember the better times (pre-2007)...
I understand the point, but in the seven years that scenario never unfolded. What I foresee is a point where there are few cars on the freeway to begin with (as more and more Americans can’t afford them, or use Uber to help with the payments), so it will be much less noticeable...
I wouldn't be so comfortable if I were you. If the cities collapse as you seem to believe, your pristine retreat will soon be invaded by thugs and hooligans. All the guns in Kentucky will not stop them. They will beat a path to your door and clean you out like locusts. Count on it. So we best get our country in order - both in urban and rural areas.
