In Arizona the only county Trump lost was not the ones with primarily Mexican voters,but the one with Mormon voters.
Trump has a strong work ethic, doesn’t smoke, doesn’t drink, has many wonderful children from various wives. You’d think Mormons would be crazy for the guy.
Utah's an "Establishment" state. That doesn't mean they love big government, but they do like established authorities and don't always go in big for populism.
Utah -- and Vermont, the state where Joseph Smith and Brigham Young were born -- were the only two states to support William Howard Taft's conservative Republican candidacy over Theodore Roosevelt's Progressive insurgency and Woodrow Wilson's Democrats back in 1912.
I do have to wonder how Johnson and Weld would appeal to anybody who has a problem with Trump's New York lifestyle.
