Did anybody really vote for Romney because they liked him? Or did they just vote for him because he wasn’t Obama?

The voters have already rejected the GOP.

These folk need to re-register in their states as Independents.

Rinos are Dems. Same people.

Yup. That's been made very clear this election cycle. Previously, there was the suspicion they were more cozy with each other than the forgotten man. Now, they don't even try and hide it.

That sell-out portion of the GOP amply demonstrates why so many of us support Trump.

Would seem logical to most folks - what in hell have we to lose? We can vote for her or for her supporters and achieve about the same.

This is not surprising at all.

Those who purchase the political system - the politicians - to secure their personal, individual, interest...To tilt the playing field with their wealth... will not give up that game for the good of the nation. It will have to be violently ripped from their hands. Political parties are meaningless in America, because they all play by the same established system of favors for money. A Republican turning and sending their money for favor to Democrats is no more surprising than a person switching brands of dishwasher detergent when they see a sale.

They play for themselves, personally. They don’t care at all about “the country” (except to delude themselves that what is to their personal benefit is “good” for the country). This is how Germany and France (not to mention Greece, Italy and Spain) got to where they are today. America is right there. And we will all be over-run at some point here rather soon by an organized movement that is not diverse, that believes its creed entirely and is self-sacrificing to achieve it.

Absolutely I voted for Mittens, the father of ObamaScare, because he was far better then another four of that horrible nation destroyer Muslim that was at the time illegally sleeping in the People's House. Mitt was a very fine man, but that is not qualification alone to become the leader of the free world.

I knew it was lost after debate #3 and I suspected all the yapping about what a blowout Mittens was going to accomplish being spewed around 1pm on Nov 6, 2012. All the pundits that said Mittens was a shoe in were dead wrong.

Because they can get favors and influence with Clinton. Trump needs to use this against Clinton and the crony capitalists who feed her troughs.

My point is “I’m Not Him” is not a winning strategy.

Probably only the Mormons and some of the financial sector.

No, the GOPe candidates are uniparty candidates, so it makes sense.

Yeah, let’s vote for a traitor who will dissolve America’s southern border and destroy the US with the ‘refugee’ invasion force.

The rank and file tried to tell the party it needed to move back to the people. It refused to.

Trump came along, the embodiment of exactly what the rank and file had been saying needed to happen.

The party elites paniced. They declared Trump absurd and dismissed him. He won.

Now the party elites are joining the Democrats in opposing Trump.

They would rather have Mrs. Bill Clinton, a woman who has accomplished nothing in her life, than Donald Trump, who built a global empire.

We said the two parties had become one.

The leaders of the Republican party are now in the process of proving us right.

Trump will prevail.

They will be relegated to the ash heap of history.

The frustration for the Left when this happens, may very likely cause Civil War-like outbursts.

There are going to be some very unhappy campers mid November of this year.

Absolutely! Those donors know can be bought and who can’t.

What? The DNC gives away its donor list? I think this is more MSM BS.

Entirely possible, my first thought as well.

However, it is consistent with how effective our political opposition has been for the past several years. (And, FWIW the article quotes FEC reports.)
