Given the sanitary standards of these Olympics, covering up may prevent flesh-eating bacterial infections, Zika transmission, and implantation of botfly eggs.

Who won?

Germans blew them out in both matches.

I have been to Rio and I wore a Speedo on the beaches. I have to say that it is actually more comfortable. Hey, when in Rome, do as the Romans would do.

I do not want to watch people competing in their very tight underwear.

Sigh. I guess I have to side with the prude contingent.

Was watching the flashback over Kerri Walsh Jennings's career. What started off as very tight underwear has actually gotten smaller! Told my wife that the bikinis couldn't have any less fabric and still function as clothing. Even my 18 yo daughter commented on it and said she found it disgusting.

Didn't the Greeks in the ancient Olympics compete sans clothing? Maybe we are regressing to that point in time. Everything else seems to be going in the "naked" direction.

Despite how much I hate the Islamic culture, I have to give a hand to those girls, who despite the oppression they live in, still represented their country in the Olympic games..

Good for them
