That’s what he said when he announced. He couldn’t stand to see the country he loves going down the tubes and had to try and change it. He’s trained his children well and has total confidence in their abilities to take care of his businesses. Trump has also said he will not take a salary if elected......wonder if that fat skank will? Maybe he didn’t realize how brutal politics is but he’s a smart cookie and will learn fast....I think he already has.....a little......;)

He already turned his business operations over to his kids. Don’t know if he has totally divested.

I doubt Hillary wants to talk conflict of interest when she is trying to act like the Clinton Foundation doesn’t exist.
Article 1 Section 9:
No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States: and no person holding any office of profit or trust under them, shall, without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state
Someone should draw a cartoon of the Clinton Foundation as a huge moneybag character, with a paper bag over its head.
If she tries to make Trump companies an issue, the Clinton Foundation shenanigans will end up center stage.
For sure; I just wish somebody would sue Hillary on the basis that, as senator and as secretary of state, she was a principal in two organizations - the Clinton Foundation, and her marriage with Bill - which certainly did "without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title” although (if not because) she was on the federal dime.

State governments have plenary power over the selection of their electors:

Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress
. . . and if our Republican state legislators were worth their salt, they would be forcing their “esteemed colleagues across the aisle” to explain why a person who is that clearly in violation of the Constitution is allowed to have candidates for Elector on the ballot in their state.
