Is Khizr Khan Practicing Law With No License? (vanity)
VANITY

Posted on 08/04/2016 7:50:42 PM PDT by TigerClaws

Doing a search, he's not licensed in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., or Massachusetts.

This bio says he is a "legal consultant."

http://www.everipedia.com/khizr-khan/

The website for his law firm has sense disappeared from the net, but its address was in Virginia.

Practicing law there without a license is a misdemeanor crime:

https://vacode.org/54.1-3904/

Story about his law firm website being deleted:

Man is on a dozen national TV news shows attacking Trump and nobody asks who the heck he is?

We live in the Post-Law era. Nothing is punishable except wrong political persuasion.

He's their latest sockpuppet for beating up Trump. Don't question the Jihadi sockpuppet.

The Media Fabulists have their orders from the Democrat National Committee, and from 0bama's White House. They'll catch spears until the end.

Nobody asks these questions because he supports the liberal side of our politics.

The media found out lots of details about Joe the plumber when he confronted Obama. If they were diligent they would find out the true story about this Khan dude. But they choose not to do so because he helps the Democrats in bashing Trump.

Do you need a license to practice law?

Elizabeth Warren practiced law for years in Massachusetts without a license.

Yes you do need a license. It is a felony in many states to hold yourself out as a lawyer when you’re not.

Here is a screen shot from Zero Hedge at the link. He clearly claims to be a licensed attorney, which is a crime:

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-08-02/khan

That’s why he took down the website. It’s a crime for each client he represented. So he’s likely guilty of dozens of misdemeanors.

Depending on what states he ran his fraud scheme (if, in fact, he’s not licensed it’s fraud), if he traveled within the D.C. area it’s likely in one of those jurisdictions he committed a felony by claiming to be a lawyer.

The organization that licenses Virginia attorneys is the Virginia State Bar. Complaints also are handled by the Virginia State Bar. Reach the Virginia State Bar by calling 804-775-0500, by mail at 1111 E. Main St., Suite 700, Richmond, VA 23219, or online at vsb.org. Find a form and more details about inquiries into lawyer conduct on the VSB website.

If investigated, he would have to hand over a list of all of his clients and financial dealings. If a criminal matter were filed, it’d become public record, including the list of clients.

Private citizen Joe the Plumber, in his driveway, asked Zer0 a question and because the candidate screwed up his answer the IRS, DNC and MSM were into Joe’s background like a terrier after a rat.

mooslimb Khan man as an invited (paid?) guest speaker at the Democrat National Convention, attacks Trump and the only interest is in the candidate’s reaction not who/what this POS islamist is.

Yup, not a smidgen of bias here.

He is registered in NY. Is that the same as having passed the bar exam?

Here he is in New York. Now, that means he can practice law for clients IN NEW YORK.

Does not mean he can open an office in another state unless he’s fulfilled that state’s requirements.

KHIZR MUAZZAM KHAN
KM KHAN LAW OFFICE
415 MADISON AVE
NEW YORK, NY 10017-1111
United States
(New York County)
(202) 279-0806

E-mail Address: KMKHAN@KMKHANLAW.COM
Year Admitted in NY: 2010
Appellate Division
Department of Admission: 3
Law School: HARVARD LAW SCHOOL (LL.M.)
Registration Status: Currently registered
Next Registration: May 2018

Disciplinary History: No record of public discipline

That’s why he says ‘legal consultant’ as he likely didn’t fulfill the requirements to practice where he lives.

Perhaps instead of waiving his pocket Constitution at us, he should read the Virginia bar rules.

Has anyone investigated the New York address he lists?

To be registered in New York, you have to either pass the New York Bar Exam, or have practiced law for 5 years in one of the states (many, but not all) which have reciprocal licensing agreements with New York. So he passed a bar exam somewhere in the U.S.

I too suspect that Khan is not a lawyer in the sense that he is not admitted to any American state bar. He may be a paralegal in a law firm, but the evidence seems to be against that.

It looked like they have an exception that gives a license to foreign attorneys who have an LLM....seems to me he may never have taken a US bar exam
