Ms. Dar (the perp) is “a” mother, but she is not the mother of the girl she abused. (It seems likely the girl was a relative, though.) It was Ms. Dar’s marriage which “failed,” not the 9-year-old girl’s.
I’m wondering if she wasn’t really grooming the girl for some Muslim male, with her taking the fall if the early grooming stage went bad (which it did).
