Hillary Clinton received a dreaded 'four-Pinocchio' rating from the Washington Post the worst score possible for truthfulness after claiming on Sunday that the FBI defended her honesty in the classified email scandal that has plagued her presidential campaign for more than 16 months.
FBI director James Comey testified in a July 7 congressional hearing that multiple statements the Democratic presidential nominee made to the public were untrue.
But in a rare Fox News Channel interview on Sunday, Clinton claimed that Comey 'said my answers were truthful, and what Ive said is consistent with what I have told the American people.'
The Post's fact-checker pored over the record and found 'Clinton is cherry-picking statements by Comey to preserve her narrative' about why she sent and received classified documents on a private email server in her house.
This, the paper concluded, 'allows her to skate past the more disturbing findings of the FBI investigation.'

Excerpt: When your mind shall be well improved with science, nothing will be necessary to place you in the highest points of view, but to pursue the interests of your country, the interests of your friends, and your own interests also, with the purest integrity, the most chaste honor.“The defect of these virtues can never be made up by all the other acquirements of body and mind. Make these then your first object.
“Give up money, give up fame, give up science, give the earth itself and all it contains, rather than do an immoral act. And never suppose, that in any possible situation, or under any circumstances, it is best for you to do a dishonorable thing, however slightly so it may appear to you.
“Whenever you are to do a thing, though it can never be known but to yourself, ask yourself how you would act were all the world looking at you, and act accordingly.
“Encourage all your virtuous dispositions, and exercise them whenever an opportunity arises; being assured that they will gain strength by exercise, as a limb of the body does, and that exercise will make them habitual. From the practice of the purest virtue, you may be assured you will derive the most sublime comforts in every moment of life, and in the moment of death.
“If ever you find yourself environed with difficulties and perplexing circumstances, out of which you are at a loss how to extricate yourself, do what is right, and be assured that that will extricate you the best out of the worst situations.
“Though you cannot see, when you take one step, what will be the next, yet follow truth, justice, and plain dealing, and never fear their leading you out of the labyrinth, in the easiest manner possible. The knot which you thought a Gordian one, will untie itself before you. Nothing is so mistaken as the supposition, that a person is to extricate himself from a difficulty, by intrigue, by chicanery, by dissimulation, by trimming, by an untruth, by an injustice. This increases the difficulties ten fold; and those who pursue these methods, get themselves so involved at length, that they can turn no way but their infamy becomes more exposed.
“It is of great importance to set a resolution, not to be shaken, never to tell an untruth. There is no vice so mean, so pitiful, so contemptible; and he who permits himself to tell a lie once, finds it much easier to do it a second and third time, till at length it becomes habitual; he tells lies without attending to it, and truths without the world’s believing him. This falsehood of the tongue leads to that of the heart, and in time depraves all its good dispositions.
“An honest heart being the first blessing, a knowing head is the second. - (Excerpted from Thomas Jeffersons Letter to Peter Carr, August 19, 1785)”
I wouldn’t the much credibility to these ratings, because soon they’ll be giving lots of such ratings to Trump.
I don’t think this was on the US version of the Daily Mail. Maybe from the UK online version.
Jefferson had great admiration for John Adams wife, Abigail. But it is very, very unlikely, that Jefferson would have wasted his time on advising Mrs. Clinton. She epitomizes all that he was warning his kin against.
I have to disagree with your dismissal. We all know these guys are in the tank for the Left, and have seen many examples of them using opinion as “fact”, so you know it’s a lot harder for them to give Four Pinocchios to one of their comrades.
Introductory remark points out that Jefferson’s advice was to a “young” Carr. If only some wise elder had provided such admonition to a young Rodham. . . .
If all the world were looking at me, I’d never take off my underpants...
ok, just kidding just kidding
If some wise elder could have averted the half-century of evil that followed, it certainly would have been a worthy thing.
She lied to Chris Wallace with a straight face - I’d put that up as a commercial for Trump. The trust issue with her is her Achilles heal.
WOW, that is simply pitiful. She’s no Trump and she’s no Obama..... she is.... Shrillary!!!
Doesn’t look like the “black community” cares about turning out for her.
Good advice for all of us and a very good argument for term limits.
Have you seen my proposal regarding career politicians?
A career politician is presumptively corrupt. The presumption can only be rebutted by clear and convincing evidence.
Definitions:
Career politician: one who has been in office for two terms.
Corrupt: a mindset that put one's personal political interests, fortunes, and future above the interests of one's constituents and America.
My guess is she, like many women for the last half-century or so, had a dysfunctional upbringing that deceived her and brought her, like Eve, to the poisonous tree of Making Your Own Way Without God - ie. for women, the women’s movement (disdain for men, hatred of feminine grace, humility, homemaking, love for husband, children and family, destroyers of the family unit, and ultimately murderers of 70+ millions of unborn).
Another day another fifty lies from Hillary.
WaPo calls Hillary a liar. Hear that, NYTimes?
