Its a hot summer night, and leaders of the Satanic Temple have gathered in the crimson-walled living room of a Victorian manse in this city renowned for its witch trials in the 17th century. Theyre watching a sepia-toned video, in which children dance around a maypole, a spider crawls across a clowns face and eerie, ambient chanting gives way to a backward, demonic voice-over. The group chuckles with approval.
Theyre here plotting to bring their wisdom to the nations public elementary school children. They point out that Christian evangelical groups already have infiltrated the lives of Americas children through after-school religious programming in public schools, and they appear determined to give young students a choice: Jesus or Satan.

Would a “Jesus Club” be allowed?
I imagine most of these “satanists” are really just trying to destroy the expression of Christianity in America. Such hatred, yet they insist that Christians are the non-inclusive ones.
Folks pushing this are writing their own obituaries and they don’t even realize it.
All Satanists want that. Only difference is in their demeanor.
An article such as this from the Washington Compost? I have my doubts.
I am thinking many of these are couch potatoes (some of them) who sit around complaining and, having no faith themselves, they begin to blame every problem on Christians. SO then some of them decide they ought to DO something about that...and then the insistence on “Satanism” just to be the latest “protected group” and to imagine they are destroying Christianity. I think that when the “Sisters of Profanity” or whatever their name is (a protest group) do something obscene or blasphemous to offend Christians. They have no real commitment or belief - they just want to destroy belief in general - it makes them feel powerful or “above it all.”
Oh no it won’t. Freedom From Religion Foundation will stop it..../s
Oh goodie - the leftards are finally promoting their evil in public instead of hiding behind euphemisms and double-talk.
Is this similar to Midnight basketball?
My first reading was an “after-school Santa club”, so kids could enjoy Christmas despite schools’ “Winter Holiday” propaganda. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
There are countless articles posted on FR about Islam being taught in schools (not extra credit, but in schools). See here:

Churches across the country should be informing the members about this.
Kids today are so apt to get behind the band wagon and submit to peer pressure. Absolutely no children should sign up for these clubs.
There is a 2 minute video on the Washington post page that you will want to see.

Is that a new department of the NEA? Next door to the LGBTQ department?
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
It’ll be all fun and games until little Maryanne is staked out naked on the pentagram.
And, the bloodletting starts...
Yes, it does sound like a muslim prayer group. Will they have rugs for kneeling? While they point their heads toward hell and their butts toward heaven? Muslim prayer posture demonstrates exactly who they worship.
The Satanists are targeting school districts that have allowed the formation of Christian "Good News Clubs."
I had the misfortune of crossing paths with a psychopath serial killer.
He was a satan worshipper.
It’s not something to fool around with.
