Trump prevails over Clinton in convention speech ratings race

Who won the convention ratings race, Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton? Trump, by a margin of two million viewers, according to unofficial ratings totals. Clinton's Thursday night acceptance speech at the DNC averaged 28 million viewers across the six biggest cable and broadcast channels. Trump's speech at the RNC one week earlier averaged 30 million viewers across the same channels. For Trump, the victory is even sweeter because while the first three nights of the Democratic convention out-rated the same nights of the Republican convention, his speech spurred more live viewership than Clinton's. The six channels included here are CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, and CBS. Nielsen will release a more complete audience estimate for Clinton's speech later in the day on Friday, including Spanish language broadcasters and smaller cable channels. All in all, 32.2 million people tuned in for Trump last week, according to Nielsen.

I have always wondered how Nielsen gets these numbers. I'm 64 y/o and have never been called by them. I have had calls over the years from various pollsters, but never Nielsen.

One speech was based on truth, the other on lies.

For H.Clinton and the left, truth sounds like hate to those who hate truth.

Trumps speech was infinitely more listenable as well. I just about want to gouge out my ear drums listening to Hillary screeching for more than a minute. And what’s up with her, as one pundit said it, bizarre “da-DA-da-DA, tuh-TAH!” speech pattern that she gets into and repeats over and over?

Yeah CNN. We’re still waiting for your poll on her speech itself. Trump’s numbers were highly favourable undermining the BS ‘dark’ meme. Finding ways to respond and skew the results?

I heard that some liberal media person say that Hillary came out like a white knight, as she mounted the podium to accept the nomination.

White knight?? That’s what was the deal with the white pantsuit???

Reuters will have no part of Trump leading their poll so they “tweaked” it to try and make sure he never leads it again.

I thought Hillary’s speech was dark, to use the liberals terminology against them.

She painted a bleak picture of the world, in which Donald Trump will set off nukes as he makes hair trigger decisions to go to war. She makes us fear that we have lost free speech rights because of the Citizen’s United decision. She makes the impossible suggestion that we will try for a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizen’s United.

She listed out a whole laundry list of things which are wrong with America and the world, which makes us all see the state of our union as being in a dark place.

She criticizes Trump for saying only he can fix things, while at the same time, implying that we better vote for her, otherwise we will indeed be back in the Dark Ages.

She’s playing on people’s fears.

And what’s with this laundry list of issues which need attention by the next president? She and other Democrats act as if there hasn’t been a doctrinaire liberal president in office all these years. What exactly is she going to do differently to solve these problems, that Obama couldn’t do in his time in the White House???

Too bad, so sad. Notice that CNN didn’t release one of those instant polls like they did during live coverage immediately following Trump’s speech either.

Nielsen still uses the boxes set up on televisions to measure ratings augmented by random mailings to households to record their viewings for a particular week. So if you aren’t a Nielsen household, and you don’t get their random mailing, then your viewing habits aren’t collected.

And she’s always MAD when trying to emphasize something. Glaring at the audience. She acts like what she really is. A mean old bitch no one wants to be around. You would think her handlers would try to make her likable, but they’ve probably given up.

Wiki
Nielsen television ratings are gathered in one of two ways:
Viewer “diaries”, in which a target audience self-records its viewing or listening habits. By targeting various demographics, the assembled statistical models provide a rendering of the audiences of any given show, network, and programming hour.
A more technologically sophisticated system uses Set Meters, which are small devices connected to televisions in selected homes. These devices gather the viewing habits of the home and transmit the information nightly to Nielsen through a “Home Unit” connected to a phone line. The technology-based home unit system is meant to allow market researchers to study television viewing habits on a minute to minute basis, seeing the exact moment viewers change channels or turn off their television set. In addition to set meters, individual viewer reporting devices, such as people meters, have allowed the company to separate household viewing information into various demographic groups, but so far Nielsen has refused to change its distribution of data of ethnic groups into subgroups[clarification needed], which could give more targeted information to networks and advertisers.
Changing systems of viewing have impacted Nielsen’s methods of market research. In 2005, Nielsen began measuring the usage of digital video recording devices such as TiVo. Initial results indicated that time-shifted viewing will have a significant impact on television ratings. A year later, the networks were not yet figuring these new results into their ad rates because of the resistance of advertisers.[2]

We don't have to lower ourselves to playing the fraudulent game of the dimbulb dimocrats, distorting reality so incompetently.

Comparing The Hildabeast speech posted on youtube last night to Trump's speech of a week ago is the embarrassing game Hildabeast's flying monkeys would engage in.

No need to get stupid silly.

Truthfeed.com is embarrassing and henceforth banned from this home!

You would think her handlers would try to make her likable, but they’ve probably given up.

How does it go? You can't make a silk purse candidate out of a pig's butt...?

Steven Spielberg, the Clinton's close friend, spent months in the in one of the Clinton mansions, trying to eliminate her screeching and make her likable." He even brought his own video camera and tripod for the mission mpossible.

He failed when, disgusted at her inability to get things right, she kicked the camera over and stalked out of the room.

Would YOU trust that sociopathic personality with nuclear weapons?

If Spielberg could make an ugly alien lovable, but failed with Shrillary, that should make people take notice, I would think.
