I was once a parishioner at Father Rutler’s church - St. Agnes in New York City.

When Ted Cruz talks about New York values, maybe he should educate himself on Father Rutler.

When I was about 15, and at a youth retreat, I asked the priest about that same passage. My question was; “what should I do if I turn the other cheek and get slapped again?”

The priest replied; “Christ asks us to be humble, not stupid.”
