No. They worded it to imply that it would be new hacking, which would be morally wrong. However, all he asked them to do was look through their already hacked data and see if they could find it. This is not nearly as dodgy as the extreme efforts the Democrats went to hide them.

Even if he were not joking, he’s asking them to locate and release the emails, not to hack them. They can’t be hacked anymore because we (the US) don’t have them because she deleted them. This is so ludicrous and goes to show (again) how biased the media is.
This is also another unforced error from Trump. Even though what he said is totally innocent, why comment at all? When your opponent is floundering, just shut up and let him/her flounder. I wish Manafort would just take his Twitter account away...

He never called on them to hack her emails. He said he’d love it if they released them and he would love to see them.
But the emails are just about yoga and the wedding. And the FBI director said there was no evidence they were hacked. And Hillary said they were safe because they were guarded by the secret service.
So why all the bruhaha?

All this poll shows is how rabidly partisan this paper’s readers are. They just as easily could have had a poll saying something like “should we lock Donald Trump and his family away in solitary confinement for the rest of their lives?” and they would have gotten the same results.
