Their a video on Facebook of some moron walking right off a pier while looking at his phone. Don’t know if his Pokemon app survived.
As soon as lawsuits are filed against the company that perpetrates this stupidity.
“From what I have seen so far Pokemon Go has some positive effects. People are getting outside more and getting more exercise walking around. Parks are getting more usage.”
That’s what I see as well.
Couch potato gamers are going outside and around and about.
If you know the game—you can’t play it from a car or van—Bicycle, Walking or Skateboard only (under 15 miles as hour).
I’m currently working as the Director of Security at a N. Texas area hospital.
One of the ICU nurses was terminated yesterday for walking off her unit to ‘catch Pokemon’.
That stupid game just cost her a 40/hr job.
So far I’ve read of players being shot at while trespassing, two players who fell off a 75 ft. cliff while distracted (they both lived!), and the Bosnian government has warned its distracted citizens to avoid the still uncleared minefields...
I’m all for the exercise part, but this is just plain dangerous. Anyone remember the Lawn Darts from a few years ago? Is it too much to ask for self-control on the part of these players, or are we going to watch as the government steps in once again with its own rules?
