Riiiight. Turkey is now lost to Islam. Get those nukes out of the hands of insane religious devils.

Yup, Erdogan had to have prepared a lot for this — ready to axe nearly 3,000 judges at a moment’s notice, sure!

Something tells me the coup was orchestrated by the EU, Russia, or with pledges of support

I don't know. Are Erdogan's claims that the cleric behind it is in exile in Pennsylvania true? If so, it might be another Obama regime change adventure. There are just too many hypotheses out there to draw any conclusions.

Another thread reported that nukes are in storage at that Turkish AF Base. I don't know if that's been confirmed. If so, ohmygosh, who knows where they'll end up?

Kick them out of NATO NOW!

I agree. Turkey is no longer a friendly nation and should be classified the same as North Korea. Time to draw lines on the free world by expelling rotten corrupt Muslim nations from NATO.

Why would you trust anything Erdogan says?

There is ..... emergency destruct measures for priority A resources are in place, power is on. Plans for such in third world shitholes like Turkey have been in place , practiced, maintained for decades.

Was Obama facilitating the overthrow in some manner to “make sure” that the “Lick” would NOT be able to be a base of operations against ISIS after (if) he leaves office ....?

He has to consider the base as well as US access can be regionally replaced in some manner with carrier task forces in the mediterranean . Black Sea then becomes inaccessible for the most part ..... flyover is dead as well, gives putin back his pond per se ....... hmmmm.

Good heavens, that’s how you pet a dog.... that photo is almost as disgusting as Obama bowing to the Saudi king.

Oh nothing that plausible deniability wont plaster over if people get suspicious.

They will just conveniently look the other way at the border when people and weapons go in either direction from and yo ISIS territory.

It just seems so weird that the army would go in and not have their ducks in a row unless someone said they would have their back. Almost like Bay of Pigs.

And we should not have any nukes in a nation this unstable, with a dodgy government, and ISIS right over the border!

“..Erdogan and Obama are on the same side....”

Yes, both anti-Western Islamics. This situation just has the smell of Obama all over it. Recall he and Kerry were pushing support for Erdogan — the Islamic dictator. And saying he was the “democratic” force in Turkey. A major lie.

It just smells.

One nuke could make a lot of dirty bombs even if it cannot be operational.

http://www.latimes.com/world/europe/la-fg-turkey-us-importance-20160715-snap-story.html

I am seeing post that these are either not there or that Turkey cannot get to them.

I would like to hear from any poster that knows for sure that either the nukes are not there or explain how if they are there, they can be prevented from falling into Turkish hands!!!

I thought they had their own.

Under NATO nuclear weapons sharing, the United States has provided nuclear weapons for Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Turkey to deploy and store.[79] This involves pilots and other staff of the "non-nuclear" NATO states practicing, handling, and delivering the U.S. nuclear bombs, and adapting non-U.S. warplanes to deliver U.S. nuclear bombs. However, since all U.S. nuclear weapons are protected with Permissive Action Links, the host states cannot arm the bombs without authorization codes from the U.S. Department of Defense.

Hope that'll stop them.
