That’s not what happened.

The cop would not have pulled over Krusty The Clown because he had a wide nose.

Give cops a little more credit. They do keep you safe too.

I got pulled over as a robbery suspect by 7 cop cars with ten guns drawn.

Wasn’t me, I was shook up but was ok.

The officer will not get convicted. He will never work as an LEO again, but he won’t be convicted of a crime.

Civil trial is a different story.

Civil trial juries do not like to hear anything that even hints a racial bias, pulling a guy over because he had a wide nose, smells of racial bias.

The officer is also going to have to answer the question, “You pulled over a person who you believed to be armed and dangerous and only had minimal back-when you approached the vehicle?”

This was a response to post #2. You’re preaching to the choir.

and the instructors urged the law enforcement officers in the hotel conference room to make the decision to shoot if they ever feel their lives are threatened.

Ehhhhhhhh, yeah. I would do the same thing.

The officer normally go into a situation outnumbered. Situations escalate. They can only back up so far.

I want the permit not a photo shoped letter of transmittal.

“The requirements aren’t onerous or expensive.”

When you’re a cripple living on a fixed income, they can be both.

My point was, though, that you don’t go rummaging around for your gun during a stop, permit or not.

Okay, sorry. At least I got some preaching in, though.

The cops would have seized that and be holding it until they get their legend sorted

Those licenses have duplicates in the state offices. For example if you lose one you can get a certified copy. What troubles me is that the Sheriff in his county , who issues licenses there said he has no CCP out of that particular county. I am dubious that a CRIP could or would get a license. When I got one we had training an again at renewal. We were trained to never say ( much less yell” I have a gun! “ at an officer. Not smart. When stopped I hand the office the CCP with my license and follow his instructions. The picture I saw was the CRIP had had a semi auto in his jeans at belt line. That fails the “Concealed” requirement . Also he was stopped on a BOLO for a armed robbery , near that location. That officer is on edge over that plus this Crip yells “I got a gun” and reaches for his pants. The officer can see the weapon like we can in the video. — That shooting was justified IMO. Also note the office shot 4 separate times which I would argue was a function of the Crip continuing to try to grab the gun. The only issue is “was the officer in “reasonable” fear for his life”. I expect him to walk.

John 11:35!

1. He had one licence, which the cops are now holding. He can't get a certified copy 'cos he's dead.

b) THe cover letter the family released shows the Minnesota wide licence was issued by the sheriff of Hennepin County, not Ramsey county where he now lives.

iii) What evidence that he is a CRIP - the only one who has now felony convictions (or charges) and has been working at a steady job for the past 14 years.

Cinco) The Minnesota gun permit is "carry" - open or concealed

Sextus) The robbery was some days earlier - The cop had no reason to expect the perp to return to the scene of the crime.

(et. al.) Your other points are wild fantasy.

It was a bad shoot - deal with it.

“He reached for the gun. “

Exactly. Whatever they teach them in CCW Class there, I’m sure it’s not to reach for the gun.

Terrible misappraisal of the facts. Just awful. Where is the license???? It is a public document. No license. Let’s see it!! Where is it? He was a CRIP!!
