Brexit Reveals the Complete Bankruptcy of the European Union

Historical memory is a key to national as well as to individual identity. One’s country, nation and faith are critical keys to human identity. The amorphous and formless global citizen does not exist except as a malleable abstraction in the minds of utopian globalists.

The above is why leaders like Angela Merkel believe it’s just fine to import millions of people who are diametrically opposed to a still largely Christianized Europe and whose manners, ways and attitudes cannot be digested by Europe without grave and deleterious consequences. For globalists like Merkel, one human unit is just like another human unit, measureable chiefly in terms of economic impact.

Which brings us to the next point; namely, the totally reductionist secularist ideology of the EU rids individuals and nations of memory, faith and hope, as it is centered only on the idea of humans as economic units who are to be pushed around on a chessboard by faceless bureaucrats.

As Eric Hoffer wrote in 1951 (The True Believer: Thoughts On the Nature Of Mass Movements):

“It is obvious that a proselytizing mass movement must bread down all existing group ties if it is to win a nationwide following. The ideal potential convert is the individual who stands alone. When a mass movement finds the corporate pattern of family, tribe, and country, etcetera, in a state of disruption and decay, it moves in and gathers the harvest…The milieu most favorable for the rise and propagation of mass movements is one in which a once compact corporate structure is, for one reason or another, in a state of disintegration.”

When boiled down to its essence, the conflict in the UK and the US is one between globalism and nationalism...which is why Trump and Brexit are winning.

Globalism as a governing concept is empty, worthless, and bankrupt.

One interpretation of the Bible predicts globalism will return. A one world government, one world standard of living, and a one world religion. You cannot buy or sell without the globalism tax mark of death.

The One World Globalism detailed in the Bible is led by none other than God himself. Humans cannot duplicate that and can only lead to corruption!

For reference material....the quoted source here is Eric Hoffer’s True Believer book....I would consider it mandatory reading.

It was published in 1951 and a great book to cultivate your understanding of mass movements over the past 2,000 years. You can read the book over a long weekend....176 pages....comes in e-book style....and simplified lecture chapters. I would make it mandatory reading for any high school student.

Thanks for the post. The complete article is a lot richer than the excerpt can deliver. Spot on observations.

——The amorphous and formless global citizen does not exist except as a malleable abstraction-—

I would argue that statement is made from ignorance

There are many that toil daily with others of their situation to work together to accomplish terrifically complex projects involving various companies of diverse nationalities bound by contracts drafted to accomplish the end result.

It is usual for a British specialty engineer to be hired by a firm that has a kuwaiti client that has hired a joint venture of American, Japanese and Korean engineering and construction companies to build a state of the art humongous refinery. Some of the complex engineering is done not in Houston but in branch office in India where the specialized team of process engineers was developed to accomplish such tasks.

Those that work together literally all over the globe are global in their daily lives and are truly global citizens.

The common denominators of these global citizens are the English language and American specifications.

"End national identities as once classes were to be eliminated; and establish a super state which encourages uniformity of nations along with the obliteration of differences among humans, and peace will reign."

Tell that to The Balkans and Yugoslavia.

American specifications are hardly the norm in most industries they have gone to metric and international standards. I have many suppliers, both in and out of the states, who will not obtain ANSI standards for older parts and require print modifications to move forward.

that and the complete lack of true drafting standards or real engineering, constantly relying on older drawing call outs and CAD with no visual print give me a great fear (?)...no maybe agitated concern for our future.

.. the conflict in the UK and the US is one between globalism and nationalism...

In a nut shell. This aligns with Biblical interpretation. Individual nations with distinct languages borders and cultures versus a muddy amalgamation where the lowest common denominator is most prominent.

“Globalism as a governing concept is empty, worthless, and bankrupt.”

It is G H W Bush’s “New World Order”. But it isn’t new at all. It was Woodrow Wilson’s vision, and Karl Marx’s, for that matter. It was the elitists’ diktat after WWII, and it began to collapse with the dissolutions of the Warsaw Pact and the Soviet Union. At long last it is coming here.

May it die speedily and utterly, and drag its minions and advocates into absolute oblivion.

Eric Hoffer - I have not thought about Eric Hoffer since I read his books as a young man. May have to go on line and see if I can find if his books are on Kindle.

While the information about the CIA’s major role in foisting the superstate on Europe is not new, it is back in the headlines. The latest large-scale exposure and discussion of the facts came from the U.K. Telegraph’s Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, a seemingly establishment-minded journalist who occasionally veers into the truth about what happens behind the scenes. Referring to the “shattering intervention” of the Obama administration in the British Exit (Brexit) debate on the EU, the columnist noted that the supranational regime “always was an American project.” “It was Washington that drove European integration in the late 1940s, and funded it covertly under the Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon administrations,” he explained, citing official documents and other sources.

While Evans-Pritchard does not go into detail about the broader globalist agenda, he is right about the EU having always been a CIA project. There can be no doubt that top U.S. globalists worked to unite Europe under a single government. In fact, the evidence is all over the congressional record. The role of the CIA and its predecessor, the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), is also indisputable at this point. As highlighted again in the Telegraph report and elsewhere, official documents from the agencies, declassified in recent decades, show that the shadowy “intelligence” outfits pumped vast amounts of money and resources into the creation of the European federalist movement across the 1950s and 1960s.

One 1950 declassified memorandum, signed by General William Donovan, the former head of the OSS, even details the plot, as well as instructions on imposing a “European Parliament” on the formerly sovereign nations and peoples of Europe. Today, the rubber-stamp pseudo-Parliament is a reality. Indeed, despite the wishes of Europeans as expressed in numerous referendums, the superstate just keeps usurping more and more power, with a bogus fig-leaf of public accountability provided by the Soviet-style “Parliament” that does not even create legislation.

Another declassified CIA memo, this one from 1965, calls on the vice-president of the “European Community,” as the proto-superstate was then known, to impose a single currency on the nations of the continent. Today, the widely unpopular and practically failed single currency is a reality, too, and is known as the euro. Back then, U.S. officials warned their lackeys in Europe to impose the scheme by stealth, and to avoid public debate until the “adoption of such proposals would become virtually inescapable.” The plot appears to have been followed. And it worked.
