Sounds odd to me too. I wonder if the guy had a vest on like the European terror attackers did and he set it off, and they just don’t want to say that yet because it’ll have a lot of implications and/or they may hope to keep other perps unaware of how much they know... so, they needed an explanation for the coroner to write down until others involved, if any, are caught.
Actually I think you misread my comment. It was the PASTORS and their churches who are trying to promote peaceful solutions and to keep their communities calm.

My instinct is the opposite. The whole movement is rooted in violence. Almost every protest event has involved criminal damage of property and a few murders already. Now, BLM is evolving to a hyper-violent group of urban terrorists because no one is opposing them. Local governments are being intimidated by the feds if they respond in kind.
Reminds me of the ‘60s when Blacks said they were taking over the US. “Pigs” is what they (Blacks) called the cops. And in theaters, the audience would clap and yell when cops were killed on the screen. Many times the movies ridiculed the cops. Also, at all pro games, the Black players would not respect the Pledge of Alliance.
Back then, the Libs used the Black people to fight their cause. Today, many minority groups are critical of the Left - thank goodness.
We need to demand that the definition of Hate Crimes ensures Blacks are also able to commit these crimes.

Absolutely; here in northeastern NJ nobody has any misconceptions about race issues. NJ is liberal on everything BUT race...

I don’t know anyone who lives near a black urban area (not IN it, but NEAR it) that has any misconceptions about race relations. The only non-black people in my area that get mugged in the hood are drug addicts; there is no other reason to be there.
The one guy was shot in the arm...I wonder if it
was like a friend of mine who was ambushed at a stop light
he was struck in the arm by a 9mm which traveled up his
arm and went into his lung. This wasn’t realized until
he was in the ER and he didn’t make it.
