“It all sounds good to me.”

Yup. She may not be as conservative as some. Not as politically wired as others. Strong on the issues. Yadda-Yadda. You think the Lo-Foes care? Nope.

Strategically, she may be the best of all choices to help neutralize some of Hillary’s support. If it’s true that some women aren’t all that fond of Hillary, but still want to vote for a woman, the Joni is an option far superior to Hillary. A veteran besides? Come on, right? You think the Lo-Foes’ll be reading her position papers? Watch for the MSM to launch search-and-destroy missions on her character. That’ll be your clue that she’s the one they’re afraid of. Thing is, Trump will not allow his own people to destroy her, either.

I think she’ll be poll-tested and found a foot taller than all the guys on the list who may be well-qualified. Remember 2008. The least qualified, least experienced won the election with a total screwball as VP running mate.

Thoughts?

Another thing just occurred to me. That remark of hers in the headline. Pure campaign gold (to paraphrase Bania on Seinfeld). Really powerful stuff. If she’s campaigning for DJT’s sidekick, she’s just said something more memorable than the rest of the field. Am I right?

Yep. Yet this same crew complains that Trump isn’t conservative. We don’t need their brand of “conservatism.”

Editor in chief is Mark Levin. Don’t place any faith in him or what he thinks after his months long BS. He can call it anything he wants but I don’t trust his judgment any longer. He gives Sessions a B! And the Canadian born Cruz Of TPA and Coker and NAU supporting wife an A.

Like I said in my detailed response, the SO CALLED conservatives are all talk and phony votes which go nowhere, and ZERO RESULTS. You can keep worshiping them. I am done with them.

She beat her democrat opponent by 9 points in a state that Obama carried by 6 points. She clearly knows how to campaign, which is the only qualification that the VP needs to have.

She was incredibly fortunate to have run against an unpleasant man (and, in a way, his wife) who kept making gaffes that even the prog media machines in Iowa couldn't laugh off, AND do it in a year when even Democrats in Iowa were finally able to look around themselves and admit that things had gotten pretty bad. Had the Iowa GOP run a ham sandwich against Bruce Braley in 2014, odds are good that Trump could have had a meeting yesterday with a ham sandwich.

I was a big Joni fan until she got to DC and immediately began siding with the McConnell/Cornyn wing of the Corrupt Bastards Club. I don't hate the woman, but I don't trust her any farther than I can throw her. I hope DJT puts her under the magnifying glass and has plenty of ambient light if he is really considering her.

And also the democrats seem to hate her.

When it comes to listing her quals and/or non-quals, I will put that WAY up near the top of the good list....

after his months long BS

You might better have said, "after his decades long personal dedication to conservatism."

I had once believed that but his recent actions have shown that he is far less than admirable. you have every right to your opinion, but I find him a true fraud.

Holdonnow, Joni Ernst has a D rating from Conservative Review

And, either way, Joni is not ready for VP.

A catchy phrase about castrating hogs helped get her attention. She’s going to need more than a catchy phrases to help the ticket.

I like her okay but other than being a woman and being in the military, she really doesn’t bring much else. There are so many more that are better qualified. Besides, Trump isn’t about political correctness. Being a woman isn’t the most important thing he would be looking for.

Personally, I believe Sessions is the one Trump is more in line with politically.

Here’s what I find interesting about Ernst as a possible VP: How does she reconcile herself with Trump’s “nationalist” (as opposed to “internationalist”) foreign policy? I have a sneaky suspicion a lot of military people do not like the idea of us getting into every war there is, no matter how remote. Trump has had a soft spot for veterans ever since the Viet Nam era. I think it’s because he respects those who answer the call even while despising those who put out the call.

I am from Iowa and am only lukewarm on Joni (establishment-ish), but she would carry the state.

Only 7 EV’s but a battleground state and not sure any of the other names can say the same...

you have every right to your opinion, but I find him a true fraud.

Yes, but evidently not always the right to express it. At any rate, Mark Levin was in the trenches fighting for the issues that animated the Tea Party ever since he served as a youngster in the Reagan Administration where he rose to be the Chief of Staff of Attorney General Meese. Since then no one has stood more forthrightly against the Rinos and quislings in Congress than Mark Levin. No one has done a better service to the cause of conservatism by popularizing understanding of the Constitution than Mark Levin.

Not content with radio and television advocacy of fundamental constitutional conservative principles, Levin has written several books furthering the same objectives which have graced the bestseller list. He has also acted where it counts, contributing his considerable legal talents to lawsuits which have had real results, particularly in exposing Obama's IRS scandal.

However, in today's upside down world of conservatism all this is to be put aside and he is to be called a "fraud" because he fails to fall in line because he is skeptical about the consequences to conservatism.

It is a rather strange measure of conservatism to make it dependent on the support of a candidate-or even support of another by that candidate. Conservative Review is not the surrogate of its editor-in-chief, Mark Levin, but has a fine record of accurately identifying those with true conservative credentials and those who are mountebanks.

She still has a "D" rating.

Sorry Trump doesn’t need any firebrands. He should go all out to get Kasich or another reconciler.

I agree 100%. I was watching some of her campaign videos and she might be exactly what Trump needs to win over the soccer mom demographic and close the gender gap.

She strikes a softer tone but also has the “soldier mom” aura that reassures voters that she’ll keep the country safe.

Again you have your opinion and I can also express mine. I have been amazed in the past 2 years to realize who supports America and legal citizens and who is really a cheap labor globalist. Levin does not stand alone in those who disappoint. We still have Obamacare and continuing trillions of debt and BS employment data thanks to “conservatives” who really aren’t.
