Hillary’s Strange Security Adviser (more pay to play)
wsj.com ^ | Kimberley A. Strassel

Posted on 07/01/2016 7:51:03 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

Hillary Clinton’s campaign has been forced to acknowledge over the past week that the former secretary of state did not, as she had claimed, turn over all her work-related email to the State Department. The new story is that her deletion of these emails was an oversight. Team Clinton is hoping therefore that you won’t hear the story of Rajiv K. Fernando, which would suggest the oversight tale to be yet another untruth.

Don’t feel bad if you’ve never heard of Mr. Fernando, because you arguably never should have. Mr. Fernando is a one-time Chicago securities trader who in July of 2011 somehow found himself sitting on the International Security Advisory Board, with the ability to access the nation’s most sensitive intelligence.

Mr. Fernando had no background that would have qualified him to sit on the ISAB alongside the likes of former National Security Adviser Brent Scowcroft, former Defense Secretary William Perry, a United Nations chief weapons inspector, members of Congress, and nuclear scientists. That Mr. Fernando didn’t belong was apparent. “We had no idea who he was,” one board member told ABC News. So how exactly did he get there?

We now finally know, thanks to State Department internal emails that the government was forced to turn over to the watchdog group Citizens United. And thanks to ABC News, which began digging into Mr. Fernando’s bizarre appointment when it first happened.

Didn't Craig Livingstone hold some sort of "security" post in the Clinton White House?

I guess it all revolves around what the definition of "security" is.

Do the Clintons just lie with impunity? do they think that nobody remembers what they said before about these matters?

Given their history, do they really expect anyone to believe that the deletion of these emails was just an innocent oversight? Really???

Do the Clintons just expect that the media will cover for them?

Do the Clintons just enjoy insulting everyone’s intelligence?

Do the Clintons just figure that 47% plus of the voters will vote for Hillary no matter what, so they really are so confident of the election that they don’t care what news comes out?

What makes this story unusual is this is not typical sleazy presidential pay for play where wealthy contributors and supporters purchase ambassadorships and other positions at the presidential level. This was being done at the agency level where the agency head, in this case the Secretary of State, is selling positions at the agency level. Mrs Clinton is like the clerk in a President Obama’s political clothing store selling off his inventory and pocketing the money.Doesn’t she know these are his jobs to sell? There is no honor amongst grifters.

Wheels inside wheels, as more and more of this bizarre machinery that is the Clinton Family Crime Syndicate becomes apparent. Not the transparency we wanted, but the one being forced upon Herself despite all the denials and obfuscations.

One suspects that Herself was never all that smart to begin with, and years of growing mental dislocations through alcohol abuse and possibly physical deterioration have been taking their toll. Obsessed with even more need for secrecy than even that paradigm Herself has patterned after, Richard Nixon, Herself had built these facades and defenses up around Herself, until even she is unable to distinguish the truth of the matter from the fiction and mythos built up around Herself.

Keep in mind, the conniving Clintons did nothing unless it included a cut for them of the donor's business. A foundation donation merely opened the door.

==============================================

ZEROHEDGE EXCERPT---It has been widely speculated, if not proven, that donors to the Clinton Foundation who over the years have transferred hundreds of millions of dollars to the "charitable organization", bought political favors with the Clintons in exchange for their generosity.

That has now been confirmed thanks to a stunning ABC report which reveals how a major foundation donor - one who previously had practically no experience on intellgience matters - mysteriously ended up as a nuclear weapons advisor to Hillary during her tenure as Secretary of State.

Worse, the person in question Rajiv K. Fernando, had been the head of a high frequency trading company, Chopper Trading (recently acquired by HFT powerhouse DRW), which may explain the unprecedented pull of the HFT lobby throughout all ranks of the US political apparatus.

In other words, Fernando bought a seat to not only have advance knowledge of all US foreign policy, but to directly shape it, something he could then parlay in the forms of massive policy frontrunning profits thanks to his trading company.

In other words, the Hillary appointment qualified Fernando, a trader in the public markets, for one of the highest levels of top secret access. (Excerpt) Read more at zerohedge.com ...

The dirt on Haiti and the Clintons is monumental. The Clintons best scam is monetizing natural disasters.

Secy Hillary poured billions of our tax dollars into Haiti as Bill put on his "do-good" act.

The Week reported: "More than $10 billion was donated to rebuild Haiti after Haiti’s 2010 earthquake, some of it to the Clinton Foundation, the charitable organization sponsored by former President Bill Clinton and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton. But protesters at the Foundation’s Harlem offices say the money was wildly mismanaged and did not provide the relief Haitians desperately needed. "Only 900 homes were built, and they were not even built in the area where the earthquake took place,” said Ricot Dupuy of Radio Soleil. “So much inconsistency, so much irregularity.” A Haitian Activists Against Hillary 2016 page was recently taken down by Facebook.

==============================================

In some mountain villages there's no electricity (maybe generators for a few hours), no water, no septic, etc. - but dirt-poor Haiti does have cell-phone coverage. And if you read the countless self-serving stories of Clinton "do-goodism" in Haiti....he is invariably standing before a Digicel sign.

.

On the far left is Digicel's CEO. He's about to make hundreds of millions of dollars. And so are the Clintons

http://tse1.mm.bing.net/th?&id=OIP.Mb3678a5fa6a4d3fb89a7c58f0fe9c7aco0&w=300&h=198&c=0&pid=1.9&rs=0&p=0&r=0 EXCERPT Free Beacon May 2015--- The Clintons have been working with Digicel CEO Denis O’Brien in Haiti since 2010, in the wake of the disastrous earthquake. Bill Clinton and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had been active players in the country before the quake, but would assume almost total managerial control over the recovery effort via the State Department and the Clinton Foundation.

=================================================

As Peter Schweizer documents in Clinton Cash, Digicel received millions in U.S. tax dollars from USAID, an agency overseen by the State Department, as part of the Haiti Mobile Money Initiative. The program was designed to establish a mobile money-transfer system that would allow individuals to send donations directly to friends and relatives in Haiti.

Digicel was also tapped by the USAID Food for Peace program, which was under the direct control of Hillary Clinton’s top aide Cheryl Mills, to administer money transfers over its mobile network. Haitians received cell phones and a free Digicel account; Digicel received grants courtesy of U.S. taxpayers, collected millions in fees from Haitians every time they used the system, and significantly expanded its user base.

By 2012, Digicel had captured nearly 80 percent of the Haitian mobile phone market, and Haiti had surpassed Jamaica as the company’s most profitable market. Revenues were up 14 percent compared to 2011, and Digicel’s subscriber base increased by almost 30 percent during that period.

O’Brien, who holds a 94 percent stake in the privately owned firm, continued to rake in cash. In 2014 alone, O’Brien awarded himself $650 million worth of dividends. Donors and board members' shady dealings and criminal convictions.....not quite the everyday Americans championed by candidate Hillary. The best-selling Clinton Cash book details the buck-raking Clintons' sordid circle.

<><> The SEC charged a Clinton Foundation trustee with misallocating $9.5M from his database company. Shareholders sued for using the company jet to fly the Clintons around and paying Bill a $3M consulting fee.

<><> A Clinton Foundation trustee was accused of paying Bahraini executives (roughly $52 million) to win sales contracts for US-based Alcoa which later settled with the DOJ for $384M.

<><> A Foundation trustee donated to Hillary's campaigns...gave the Clintons millions in honoraria and millions more to the foundation. The trustee was arrested for allegedly defrauding a bank. He pleaded guilty in a Bklyn court to “funneling more than $180,000 in illegal contributions to three federal candidates,” Hillary among them.

<><> An Indian legislator sat at the head table at the Clinton Global Initiative and dined privately with the Clintons at their home. He gave between $1 and 5 million to the Clinton Foundation....then was arrested for bribing members of parliament WRT a US-Indian nuclear-technology agreement....he was booted from his party, ending his political career.

<><>Claudio Osorio fundraised for Hillary and supported the Clinton Global Initiative. He falsified applications to score a loan of $10M tax dollars to build homes in earthquake-ravaged Haiti. Osorio was convicted of financial fraud, using humanitarian assistance “for personal benefit,” and got 12 years in federal prison.

<><>He was on the federal terrorist no-fly list yet a Lebanese-British businessman donated $460,000 to Miami Democrats for voter-registration and attended the Clintons WH Christmas party. He was later convicted of money-laundering and “aiding a criminal organization WRT billions of dollars stolen from Nigeria.

His company pledged $1 billion to the Clinton Global Initiative. The ***-kissing Clinton gave him a prize for sustainable development.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I don’t use the goog for security reasons, and do not agree that a thread that requires you to log in to read the referenced article is worth posting -not directed at you. ;)

If you are going to post something, it’s rather pointless to do so when others can not read the source.

JMHO.

Wheels inside wheels...

From the WSJ comments: Harlin Smith 15 hours ago
Regarding the Clinton Crime Family Foundation and its need for a private server:

The Clinton Foundation is "organized crime" at its finest. It may eventually prove to be the largest political criminal enterprise in U.S. history. Keep in mind that in their own words they were “flat broke” when they left the White House. Now, they are “worth” over TWO HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS. Here is how and why they did it.

1. Create a separate foreign "charity." In this case, one in Canada.
2. Foreign oligarchs and governments, then donate to this Canadian charity. In this case, over 1,000 did -- contributing mega millions. I'm sure they did this out of the goodness of their hearts, and expected nothing in return. (Imagine Putin's buddies waking up one morning and just deciding to send untold millions to a Canadian charity).
3. The Canadian charity then bundles these separate donations and makes a massive donation to the Clinton Foundation.
4. The Clinton Foundation and the cooperating Canadian charity claim Canadian law prohibits the identification of individual donors.
5. The Clinton Foundation then "spends" some of this money for legitimate good works programs. Unfortunately, experts believe this is on the order of 10%. Much of the balance goes to enrich the Clinton's, pay salaries to untold numbers of hangers on, and fund lavish travel, etc. Again, virtually all tax free, which means you and I are subsidizing it.
6. The Clinton Foundation, with access to the world's best accountants, somehow fails to report much of this on their tax filings. They discover these "clerical errors" and begin the process of re-filing 5 years of tax returns after it was disclosed in “Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich,” by Peter Schweizer that was published in April, 2015.
7. Net result -- foreign money, much of it from other countries, goes into the Clinton's pockets tax free and untraceable back to the original donor. This is the textbook definition of money laundering. Oh, by the way, the Canadian "charity" includes as a principal one Frank Giustra. Google him. He is the guy who was central to the formation of Uranium One, the Canadian company that somehow acquired massive U.S. uranium interests and then sold them to an organization controlled by Russia. This transaction required U.S. State Department approval, and guess who was Secretary of State when the approval was granted. As an aside, imagine how former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell feels. That poor schlep is in jail because he and his wife took $165,000 in gifts and loans for doing minor favors for a guy promoting a vitamin company. Not legal, but not exactly putting U.S. security at risk.
Sarcasm aside, if you're still not persuaded this was a cleverly structured way to get unidentified foreign money to the Clintons, ask yourself this:

Why did these foreign interests funnel money through a Canadian charity? Why not donate directly to the Clinton Foundation? Better yet, why not donate money directly to the people, organizations and countries in need?
This is the essence of money laundering and influence peddling.
Now you know why Hillary's destruction of 30,000 Emails was a risk she was willing to take.
Bill and Hillary are devious, unprincipled, dishonest and criminal, and they will make America into the world's largest banana republic.
FBI officials - an arrest and an indictment are way past due. The American people will rush to your aid if you do the right thing and fight the corruption of Obama, the Clintons and the most dishonest Justice Department in American history. Please stop the Democrats from turning America into another corrupt, socialist banana republic.
