When a veteran started offering traditional remarks at a military flag-folding ceremony, several uniformed airmen assaulted him, dragging him out of the room because his remarks mentioned God. Now First Liberty Institute lawyers representing retired Senior Master Sergeant Oscar Rodriguez are demanding that the U.S. Air Force apologize and punish those responsible or face a federal civil-rights lawsuit.
For countless years, service members have given the “flag-folding speech” at military and civic events, including retirement ceremonies. Traditionally, this speech explains the colors, symbols, and history of the flag.
The flag-folding speech also contains several religious references, including, “Let us pray that God will reflect with admiration the willingness of one nation in her attempts to rid the world of tyranny, oppression, and misery. It is this one nation under God that we call, with honor, the United States of America.”
The speech closes with, “God bless our flag. God bless our troops. God bless America.”
In 2005, the Pentagon changed the speech to remove all references to the divine, substituting additional historical facts such as Neil Armstrong’s planting of an American flag on the moon in 1969. But many service members prefer the traditional speech and desire that version given at their own retirement celebrations.

Per the article, it was known ahead of time that the speaker planned to use the old version of the speech, which includes God, and the base commander had sought to prevent it from happening.
The story was posted earlier this morning with commentors noting the policy to ‘take God out’ started in 2005 when GWB was POTUS.

It sounds as though the Air Force doesn’t want to “offend” Allah’s boys.
Where are the real men!? If this happened in the Battalion, it wouldn’t matter how many officers they had or how many MPs they had. Nothing would of stopped a bunch of pissed off Patricia’s.

A commanding Officer (who and of what I am not sure of...so will not speculate) had become aware of the intention to use the older, traditional ceremony and had instructed "some" (who and of what rank I do not know) to be prepared.
Since a large majority of the US Military fall to their knees and genuflect to the obama farce, there were sufficient numbers of sycophants to do his bidding.
That's why you see the almost immediate reaction to the ceremony.
They are a bunch of treasonous bastards and I wish I were still on active duty so that I could confront the pieces of socialist obama-loving ass kissers.
But then, I wouldn't remain on active duty for very long as dissent among obama's minions and supposed-to-be minions is not tolerated.
In any event, If I could arrange a meeting with this CO, I would tell him exactly everything I have said here and would probably attempt to lure him into a personal attack against me...so that I could "defend" myself.
These people really piss me off.

It appears Obama’s minions are enforcing the 2005 policy which was written during a Republican presidency and under a Republican controlled Congress.
I listened to the speech he gave by request of the honoree. Only thing I can guess besides mention of God was his tone. He was very passionate in his delivery. Maybe that spooked security.

The Commander in Chief in 2005 was George W. Bush, not Barack H. Obama. While President Obama can be blamed for many things, it appears this policy is owned by his predecessor Mr. Bush.

You will notice the decision to remove all references to the divine (i.e...God)
happened in 2005, George Bush’s watch.
Obama is simply aggresively complying.

At least the demand letter names names, though Breitbart only names the CO. Better than we usually get on these stories. Assuming the story is true, the names need to be investigated, and these airmen need to be disgraced and humiliated. They deserve quite a bit.
