So you can’t carry an AK, because it isn’t like the movies. But you do need to take care, both you and your family. So a concealable weapon and a vest for business meetings, or when carrying cash. Or just to pop out to the corner grocer, because you don’t know who will follow you home.
Luckily, we’re not there yet. But he commented that body armor was very expensive and difficult to get if you wait until you need it. Better to get it while you don’t need it.

Body armor? These guys have blown up and run aircraft into the World Trade Center. They have run ships into other ships.
Got a better idea.....how bout the first time one of these animals pulls a gun, one he got illegally, and yells “Alla Akbar,” 10 people with legal carry cards, and right next to him, just shoot him on the head because the real reason for the second amendment waa understood? And it is at that point that truly everyone is equal under the law. The difference is being outnumbered when you want to harm someone. May not have to happen more than a few times till it will stop. Otherwise it will happen many times if it is not stopped. Easy, inexpensive for the state, and efficient.

A drone with a simple pipe bomb can ruin the day of a Gub'ment police helicopter.
Get the model with built-in A/C ... that way you can even wear it in Arizona in the summer. A/C adds less than one foot to the diameter. :-)

I can tell you this story. Make of it what you wish:
When Khaddifi ordered his army to shoot Libyans, 75% of the army deserted and headed back to their provinces to protect their families. As the army retreated back home, the armories were left unguarded, allowing assorted factions to help themselves to various weaponry, probably including personal bulletproof vests.
When TSHF in Libya, a whole bunch of weaponry, munitions and accessories became available. Believe me, nobody stood there like a stupid shithead protecting armories.
It will be no different here.
