Faucetman....why would you not??? Let his life reflect and bring forth fruit in keeping with his repentance. Unless he proves otherwise by his life one must accept his testimony.

According to the logic of your argument if you were to be consistent then how would you have accepted the Pauls conversion as genuine? The other apostles listened to his testimony after Barnabas befriended him and they believed him BUT his life also reflected the genuineness of his conversion. The same standards apply to this man.

Net...did you miss what he said??? He called it a sin as well!!!!! So what is your point? He repented of it! He wants to live for Christ and not himself. So what is your point?? In essence you have none since he agreed that it was sin!
So let me ask you do any of these apply to you???

Prov 6:16-19
16 There are six things that the Lord hates,
seven that are an abomination to him:
17 haughty eyes (PRIDE), a lying tongue,
and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked plans,
feet that make haste to run to evil,
19 a false witness who breathes out lies,
and one who sows discord among brothers.

The same word here for abomination is the same word used in Lev 18:22. Strongs number 8441. So if you (or I) are guily of any of the above we are also guilty of committing an abomination. So if you ever lied...you are no better than he is....if you ever made haste to run to evil...or do wrong then you are no better than he...if you ever bore a false witness against someone then guilty again....or sown discord against brothers...well looks like NOONE is fairing to well then huh???
Whats the difference we need to make and show if we call ourselves believers? Repentance (which he said he did), a desire to live for Christ (which he says he does), if he says he will put to death that sin in his life and struggle against it (which he did) and will CONTINUALLY day by day walk in faith AND repentance for that sin and every other sin (as we all should who call ourselves christian) then who am I to disparage him? Who am I to doubt him UNLESS he makes it a habit to NOT live that?

If he said that we must accept him as he is (which he didnt) or that christianity and living in homosexuality are compatible together (which he didnt) then you and the others have a point. Since he didnt your objections, and the others fall flat since the gospel must be lived DAILY in the life of the believer. Every day we are to preach the gospel to ourselves and believe its promises and walk in them. Not meaning we are “saved” every day but that the life of the christian is one of sanctification with some days being better than others.

I simply asked if G-d called any other sins abominations. You seem to get carried away in your defense.
What does it mean there are 6 things He hates, 7 that are abominations? What’s the abomination not listed?
Interesting that pride is listed as an abomination. Somebody was stating their intent very plainly, when they called those parades Pride parades.

I think you are right. Behaviour like this often has an aspect of addiction, and I think it better if people who struggle with it not be in church leadership positions.

A lot of the disasters which befell the Catholic church were because they believed people who said - I repented, and I have undergone both medical and spiritual therapy, and I am different now. But they weren’t.

My answer was also taking into account your post, #9, mentioning that he rejects God's Words etc..

He doesn't. In the video he clearly stated that he had originally 2 choices either reject Christianity or reconcile Christianity with homosexuality. He couldn't do the former so he tried to do the latter. When He couldn't he tried to discount scripture. He couldn't. So he never rejected God's word. He affirmed it's teaching and the normative and historical interpretation of it.
The rest of my answer was in light of that post of yours where you seemed to say that he didn't affirm the scriptural teaching on homosexuality. Then when you asked the question regarding any other sins being an abomination I pointed out that homosexuality isn't the only one since it seemed the intent of the question was to single out homosexuality when in essence there are other abominations that God hates that we commit daily ourselves. If I misinterpreted your intent please accept my apologies.

Filthy sodomite.
12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; 13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. (Jude 1:12-13)

"Twice dead" -- he's damned.

I thought I counted 7
1) haughty eyes
2) a lying tongue
3) hands that shed innocent blood,
4) a heart that devises wicked plans
5) feet that make haste to run to evil,
6) a false witness who breathes out lies
7) one who sows discord among brothers

This is a non exhaustive list. When looking at scripture we need to look at all of it.
