Of all the predictable political responses to the mass murder in Orlando, the immediate impulse of non-Trumpian Republicans to dive for the handiest authoritarian solution is the most predictable of all.

Some of the kudos has to go to GWB. If he had prosecuted the Arab Wars of his tenure as Wars and not as law enforcement and social missions, much of what Hussein/Clinton/Kerry have accomplished could not have come to pass.

First of all, as a former assistant professor of history and substitute metal-shop teacher at Bugtussle Regional State College And Live Bait Barge, Gingrich has to know that HUAC was not created as a standing committee of the House until 1945, and that its primary aim was chasing shadows and the rancid butterflies flittering over the garbage dumps that were the minds of its members.

While Gingrich would likely be given tenure at a presitigious University today if he wanted to resume academic pursuits, the scribbler of this article has been at it for 40 years without rising above relative obscurity. Nonetheless, even he should know that Sen. John Rankin was very much a Democrat, and that the Trump administration would likely be presiding over a Republican Congress. I don't think there's much interest in protecting the Klan in either chamber.

You may take pictures, record or just ask for a recording of the service from the sound man.

The only time we are not open to the public is during our twice a year business meeting. And even then you are not forbidden to attend, if you are interested in how much we spent on Sunday School manuals or the spirited debate whether we should buy a John Deere or Troy-Bilt lawn mower then feel free to attend.
