When Harry made his whistle stop tour in 48, My father took me to Vinita Oklahoma to see him. Harry stood on the back of a railroad car and spoke to a small crowd in a very small whistle stop town. I was maybe 15 feet from him and there was no SS detail pushing people back. A very different time.
I will forever be grateful that he ended WW II, but it was the last war we won, because he fired MacArthur and listened to those scum in the CFR.
He made a series of appearances on a Missouri TV station and tried very hard to convince people he did the right thing with Mao he didn't convert me.
Having said that he was a thousand times more honorable than the current crop of democrats and I would take him in a heart beat over any of them.
