John McCain: Arizona’s sellout senator is the godfather of dark money
KTAR News ^ | 11 May, 2016 | DARIN DAMME

U.S. Sen. John McCain wrote the rules on dark money when he sponsored campaign finance reform, also known as the McCain-Feingold Act. Now he’s using millions of dollars in dark money in a bid to hold on to his tightly contested Arizona seat.

An investigation into the various PACs supporting McCain brought to light some stunning conclusions.

First, the vast majority of McCain campaign donations are not from the Arizonans he represents but from people and corporations outside of Arizona with a vested interest in McCain’s continued support and votes for their interests.

Second, several of the PACs supporting McCain are blatantly violating the very federal election laws McCain wrote.

When the issue of dark money first came up several years ago, The Arizona Republic blasted McCain saying, “Blame McCain-Feingold, not Citizens, for dark money” in its story explaining the negative effect McCain’s campaign finance reform law had on American elections.

In the 2010 Citizens United Supreme Court decision, even more dark money was allowed to flow into the election process. Since the decision, McCain has opposed efforts to restrict its influence and cut the stream of questionable donations.

Now McCain is taking advantage of that dark money to fuel his re-election bid in Arizona under the guise of a grassroots movement.

McCain has a lot of money. The coming primary will see if his money can buy Republican votes.

McCain has been a disaster.

EXEMPT McCain (who started the IRS attacks on
conservatives with Schumer)
will always have his “child”, ISIS and its slaves
upon the conscience of his voters. Slaves.

Isn’t McCain one of the original Keating Five?

McCain emails everyone who was on the RNC list that was given to him when he ran for Pres. He emailed me again last election, and; I turned him down several times asking him to not email me again.

I hold to this day the belief that McCain did not want to be president; he had a much wealthier senate seat, on the gravy train, keeping status quo. When he started to gain momentum, he stopped, and really started trying to lose - and succeeded. I’d even wager it goes all the way back to Dole.

One of things Trump has done is expose the DC Cartel.

For 25 years all they have done is loot this country, and enriched themselves.

Their plan was to anoint another Bush and then throw the election to Hillary.

Trump is our last hope of peacefully stopping them.

We are now up to 4 mailings, large postcards, that have been against Kelly, and one for Kirkpatrick.

None for Juan McPain.

It always upset me to see McCain and Dole supporting moehammedans. They always provided cover instead of opposition to stupid democrat policies. Just wondering if Saudi money was involved.

It was McCain who setup the restrictions on home rental in Sedona so it didn’t impact personal his resort holdings.
You can only rent your home in Sedona a minimum of 30 days.
The City of Sedona actually monitors VRBO looking for violators.

The article says that the Saudis just donated a million to a McCain related campaign organizaiton.

McCain denied any connection, but holds an annual barbecue at his house for them.

Mcpain was the lone republican involved with Keating. If not for him, we might have avoided Bubba.

“McCain has a lot of money. The coming primary will see if his money can buy Republican votes.”

It worked for Juan six years ago. Spending a mountain of money left over from his disastrous 2008 campaign against Nobama, McCainiac began hammering J. D. Hayworth even before Hayworth entered the race. And then continued to overwhelm Hayworth with money the idiot refused to use against Nobama.

“McCain has been a disaster.”

Yes, an utter and unmitigated disaster. I don’t know if Kelli Ward has any chance against this charlatan or not but I will do a spring dance if she does beat him.

A simple and effective change to campaign finance rules would be to restrict campaign contributions to those contributors who are or will be constituents of the candidate(s) receiving the contributions.

The sooner he’s retired, by his choice or his electorate’s choice, the better.

I just got this email from McCain’s opponent, Kelli Ward, whom I have donated money to:

Once again, John McCain says one thing, means another, and has refused to take responsibility for his actions.

In the wake of the horrific terrorist attack in Orlando, he asserted that President Obama was “directly responsible” — then, in the blink of an eye, he backtracked and claimed he “did not mean to imply that the president was personally responsible.”

The truth is, John McCain is responsible for the rise of ISIS.

His knee-jerk, trigger-happy foreign policy of promiscuously arming supposedly moderate militants has created vacuums which have allowed jihadist ideologies to flourish for years.

We need to make sure Establishment John is called out for his disastrous foreign policy views — add your name and show that we won’t let him backtrack his way out of this one.
W
Establishment John’s “Invade the World, Invite the World” foreign policy hasn’t only led to blowback in the Middle East — it’s reached US soil.

It’s time to put America First.

— Kelli
