Steve King: 'Good Amount' Of Trump Policy Is 'A Copy-And-Paste From Things That I've Done'

Steve King, the Iowa GOP congressman who once said that DREAM Act beneficiaries are mostly drug runners with “calves the size of cantaloupes because they’ve been hauling 75 pounds of marijuana across the desert,” said yesterday that he expects to be “deeply engaged” in immigration policy if Donald Trump is to become president, boasting that a “good amount” of the immigration policies on Trump’s website are “a copy-and-paste from things that I’ve done.”

King told Jeff Angelo, who was guest-hosting the Iowa talk radio program “Mickelson in the Morning,” that his legislative priorities in the next Congress would depend on who is elected president.

“If it’s Hillary, I’ll be playing a lot of defense because she’ll be pouring an agenda at us,” he said. “And if it’s Trump, then we’ve got an opportunity to move another direction.

Steve King is the original Cruzer.

People are insane for not considering the charismatic Steve King as a VP choice.

He is contraversial but has better grasp of policy and is a good communicator, compared to stumbling choke artist Rubio.

"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win."

I guess after the "then you win" thing comes "then they claim you stole your ideas from them."

a “good amount” of the immigration policies on Trump’s website are “a copy-and-paste from things that I’ve done.”

Well, if he's done them, he hasn't been very effective while doing it. Sounds like an ego problem to me. Jeff Sessions has been leading the fight against immigration amnesty and open borders at least since W's first big push in 2006. And it's well known that Sessions or his staff wrote, or had major input into Trump's written immigration policy.

King's also the one whose tweets contained the most specific claims that Ben Carson was dropping out of the campaign just before the Iowa caucus voting took place.

'A Copy-And-Paste From Things That I've Done'

That may sound like a complaint, but it was intended as a compliment.

King and Trump will work well together.

At least Trump HAS something to “copy and paste”

Obama had NOTHING and we’ve been stuck with him for eight years.

Trump / King ?!
Man, that is a big giant target for the Libs, but it could be genius to keep talking heads focused on, ridiculing, and steam rolling the theme of Trump as ‘King’, while Trump attacks the liar on actual substance right over their yapping heads to we the people.

A far better source than some horror from writer Steven King or Representative Peter King.

If Trump copied King, why didn’t King run for President?

King is no Trump.

Why should the gov’t at all levels (state, local) be run like a business? Simple.
