Obama Credits Self for Economic Recovery — ‘Smart Decisions Early in My Presidency’
Breitbart.com ^ | 4 Jun 2016 | Jeff Poor

Posted on 06/04/2016 9:47:04 AM PDT by Rockitz

In his weekly address released Saturday morning, President Barack Obama credited himself for the economic recovery throughout the country and specifically pointed to Elkhart, IN, where he gave a speech about the economy earlier in the week as an example.

Transcript as follows:

Elkhart, IN was the first town I visited as President. I’d been on the job for three weeks, and we were just a few months into the worst economic crisis of our lifetimes. Elkhart was hit harder than most. Unemployment there peaked at nearly twenty percent shortly after my visit. Nearly one in five people there were out of work.

This week, I returned to Elkhart. Unemployment there has now fallen to around four percent. More families are back on sturdy ground; more are covered by health insurance; more of their kids are graduating from high school. And it’s no accident – it’s because people there worked hard, and sacrificed, and looked out for each other.

But it’s also because we made a series of smart decisions early in my presidency. To rescue the auto industry. To help families refinance their homes. To invest in things like high-tech manufacturing, clean energy, and the infrastructure that creates good new jobs – not to mention the job training that helps folks earn new skills to fill those jobs.

The results are clear. America’s businesses have created 14.5 million new jobs over 75 straight months. We’ve seen the first sustained manufacturing growth since the nineties. We’ve cut unemployment by more than half. Another 20 million Americans have health insurance. And we’ve cut our deficits by nearly 75 percent.

The Narcissist-in-Chief is completely delusional. His cronies on Wall Street and in the Fed have managed to keep the bottom from falling out, but 94 million people out of the work force and a record number of people on government assistance is nothing to crow about.

WORST....PRESIDENT....EVER!!!!

All his life he has been told how bright and special he is. While other people did the work for him and cleared every challenge out of bis way.

He has come to believe the lie.

At other times, he has claimed he saved the world from another great depression.

He’s got a high opinion of himself.

The only mistakes or errors he has ever discussed, were how he felt he didn’t do well enough explaining policies to the American people. And that he didn’t do a good enough job selling the American people on the joys of Obamacare.

The policies themselves are flawless, in his opinion. The problem was that he and his lackeys just didn’t do a good enough job of explaining to the American people how wonderful socialism is.

Its always all about him.

He takes credit for things that didn’t happen.

Oh and he didn’t mention his policies decimated the Democratic Party on his watch.

I can’t wait to see Obama gone and none too soon.

Good decisions like stiffing GM bond holders in favor of his union pals (how did he get away with that?) and arbitrarily closing GM dealers. /sarc

Clearly, Obama lives in a different universe than the rest of us.

Or else he has surrounded himself with people who are afraid to tell him the truth.

The real unemployment rate is about 20 percent which puts us in the Great Depression era unemployment numbers. 1933 saw the number max out at 25 percent.

Then we have a GNP/GDP rate below 3% during Obama’s whole time in office. The last time that happened was during the Hoover administration (1929-1933).

I hope the Beast runs on Zippy’s “economic miracle”, among other things. She loses in any event but his economy has lots of ‘splainin to do. GDP has been less than 3% annualized for the last 8 years on a quarterly basis - the worst economic recovery in the history of this nation.

A Quote from Obama: “Tarp ended the recession”. I believe TARP was initiated 4 months before he was in office

Small business creation has been destroyed. Everybody here probably knows a couple of dozen businesses that have closed. Big retailers are shutting down hundreds of stores. And for all that he ran up 10 trillion in debt which has fiscally bankrupted the US government. His economic role model of Venezuela is were millions of people are starving right now. The man is completely delusional and a threat to the entire planet.
