NEW YORK, June 3 (Reuters) - Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton has opened up a double-digit lead over Republican rival Donald Trump, regaining ground after the New York billionaire briefly tied her last month, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Friday.

The shift in support comes as Clinton steps up her attacks on the real estate mogul's policy positions, and as Trump fends off criticisms of his eponymous university and the pace at which he doled out money that he raised for U.S. veterans.

Some 46 percent of likely voters said they supported Clinton, while 35 percent said they supported Trump, and another 19 percent said they would not support either, according to the survey of 1,421 people conducted between May 30 and June 3.

ridiculous. even if I liked Hillary I’d have to acknowledge how UNPOPULAR she is....she couldn’t win an election against Jack the Ripper! (and she’d drag down the entire D ticket if she succeeds in purchasing the D nomination...this is why I think her ‘super-delegates’ will switch and find a more saleable candidate ... quick!)

19 percent undecided.

I’m sure the MSM is swooning over the numbers.

Hillary is a lock for the WH!

We’ve been hearing that all along.

I know nobody supporting Hillary Clinton. Everybody I know is as befuddled as me as to how it’s possible she could even be near to Trump in the numbers.

Al-rioters a Democrat push poll organization... Now that they are focusing on the general election, they have become useless.

46% of LIKELY VOTERS seems a little high given her overall negatives. I also can’t see her overall popularity increasing while Bernie’s California momentum is peaking. At any rate, only the state-by-state polls are going to matter because the EC is where the action is.

Good, this helps keep her in race. By September she’ll resemble a beaten rented mule.

In 1988, the MSM touted polls showing Dukakis with a double-digit lead around this point in time.

Sure enough, it vanished by October and Bush went to defeat him 54-46 percent.

Its way too early to draw any definite conclusion about Hillary’s electability.
