Vox deputy editor Emmett Rensin was suspended by the media site Friday for encouraging people to riot at Donald Trump rallies.
Vox editor-in-chief Ezra Klein said in a statement that Mr. Rensin’s conduct “violated Vox’s standards and Emmett has been suspended as a consequence.”
“We at Vox do not take institutional positions on most questions, and we encourage our writers to debate and disagree,” Mr. Klein said. “But direct encouragement of riots crosses a line between expressing a contrary opinion and directly encouraging dangerous, illegal activity.”
Mr. Rensin posted a series of tweets Thursday night encouraging people to riot at Mr. Trump’s presidential rallies.
“Advice: If Trump comes to our town, start a riot,” he said in one.

“Suspended”, but not FIRED?! Is he suspended until he changes his attitude (not likely), or only until the outrage subsides.

He won’t even miss morning coffee. Keeps right on collecting a paycheck, and once this blows over, right back at the keyboard inciting violence from a distance.
But never shows up there at the site of the violence himself.

well well...I don’t have any idea what Vox is...but this is a good (and very necessary) step for Vox
let’s hope..pray...someday...MSNBC, Slate, ABC, and all the rest of the prejudiced leftist propaganda organs will do likewise

They suspended him because he went against their views... He said ‘anything short of murdering Trump’ should be ok.
They disagree with that..........They think murdering Trump and any of his supporters would be perfectly ok.
Those inciting and perpetrating violence at Trump rallies should understand that were it not for the restraint shown thus far, their protests would end with their blood spilled in quantities the Red Cross would envy.
If they’re happening — then they were never paranoid fantasies.
Don’t give them martyrs.

Isn’t inciting a riot a crime? Why isn’t he arrested?
Patience will run very thin in the face of unprovoked attacks. If the future unfolds in the manner in which I believe it will, the confrontation is unavoidable. Just as when the bully is taken down several notches by the long suffering victim, so too will those who poke sticks where they ought not be educated in civilized behavior. The bully understands only direct action. Discussion and debate is not their strong suit.
