Having flown this sort of formation demos I can attest to the inherent danger always lurking just a hiccup away. My prayers go up for them all.

Yes, at first I thought there was a mistake, but apparently both the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds have had a crash on the same day.

Lack of parts, maintainers, cannibalization, lack of funds probably have a lot to do with it.

Me thinks the Blue A’s AC get tops in maint and parts.

Two in a single day. Of our very best. Obama has left his fingerprints on the military. It’s an obvious thing to look at.

Thunderbirds now a Blue Angel all today?Auric Goldfinger: Mr. Bond, they have a saying in Chicago: 'Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action.'

How tragically unfortunate for both the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds both on the same day. :-(

In an incredible coincidence, earlier in the afternoon one of the Air Force Thunderbirds crashed after performing over the graduation ceremony at the Air Force Academy with President Barack Obama in attendance. That pilot ejected safely and there were no ground injuries. The plane crashed in a field about 15 miles south of Colorado Springs, CO.

They were grounded several years ago for about 3 months for lack of funding.
To: CGASMIA68
They actually fly jets that are no longer fleetworthy. They pullout all the military stuff, and give them a new paint job!
To: CGASMIA68
In case you hadn’t noticed, under Obama the best the military can get is pretty bad. We have entire fighter wings that can’t fly due to lack of parts and money now.

Yep, 1970’s all over again. E-3’s were filling E-7 crew chief slots because cashiers at the local supermarket were making more. Add the ops tempo of the last 20 years, cuts to end strength, and we wonder why we lose aircraft.

0bama’s like a bad movie. He peels off all kinds of money to give to his favored nation, Iran, and groups, like Palestinians. And the social programs.
Just think-what social program cost the Blue Angel this death and jet?
Yes, color it 0bama pride.
