North Korean state media offers support for ‘wise politician’ Donald Trump

Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, has faced an unusual amount of criticism from foreign leaders — in large part because of his combative tone and unorthodox policy suggestions. This week, however, he found an unlikely international voice of support — in North Korean state media.

State outlet DPRK Today published an editorial Tuesday that called the business mogul a "wise politician" and said he could be good for North Korea. “There are many positive aspects to Trump’s ‘inflammatory policies,' ” the author of the article wrote, according to a translation from NK News. “Trump said he will not get involved in the war between the South and the North, isn’t this fortunate from North Korea’s perspective?”

The author of the editorial also dismissed Hillary Clinton, Trump's likely Democratic rival in the presidential race, calling her "dull" and saying that she hopes to use the "Iranian model to resolve nuclear issues on the Korean Peninsula."

The Norks are making a ‘negative endorsement’ and they know it.

“In International Relations, I believe you should walk softly, but carry a BIG STICK.”

The Norks are already thinking that they won’t be able to play the game with Trump as President.

“North Korean state media offers support for ‘wise politician’ Donald Trump”

Like most other leftists and totalitarians, the North Korean leaders are afraid of Trump.

It doesn't sound like it from the North Korean Op Ed. Is there a reason why they should be?

The tubby little riceball in Pyongyang thinks he can administer a poison pill to the Trump campaign.

After all, the Norks know so much about democracy & elections.

They should be. Trump did not offer to go to North Korea to meet with Kim Chi-un. Should there eventually be a meeting, it should be held in America or at least at some neutral venue. Trump did say that he would pressure China economically to, among other things, fully honor all sanctions imposed on North Korea. More often than not, China has not done that.

It would be counterproductive to discuss nukes with Kim until those sanctions have taken effect. With one exception I can recall, sanctions have not affected Kim's life style. Sanctions having that effect are the sort which should be imposed. Kim's own life style is his principal interest. If his supply of luxury goods is eliminated, he might well yield to whatever Trump demands. If China later resumes Kim's supply and/or Kim backtracks on any deal, Trump will most likely backtrack at least as far and at least as fast.

The DPRK Today article liked Trump’s suggestion that the United States pull our troops from South Korea until Seoul pays more. The North Korean govt mouthpiece says that is the way to achieve Korean unification. You think they’re kidding about that?
