I keep wondering if the 2nc coming is close. The righteous aren’t winning and the country is getting more corrupt. God could be letting this happen.
OTOH, Trump could turn this country around, God willing-I don’t think those of us thinking we’re on the wrong course are in the minority.

If you couldn’t do it in 2012, after knowing what Obama was, what makes you think you can ever do it again? Demographics and gimmedat aren’t easily changed, and once they’re in the voting majority, they win.

Think of all the proud rulers from here back. They threatened to rule the world. They wreaked havoc. Seemed like they’d get away with it.
Then they DIED. They all died. Every last one came to the End. Yes, new ones always spring up, but they will also die and after that...the Judgment.
Meanwhile, we have every reason to believe the Lord may give us a societal renewal while there’s breath. He may not, but history at least shows He might!

The thinness of that reed goes to illustrate how deeply we are mired. I hope I’m wrong, but I’ve been around a very long time, and the thrust of history is that democracies survive until they realize they can vote money out of someone else’s purse into theirs.
