It's hardly a dog's life of just eating and sleeping for President Barack Obama's pets, Bo and Sunny.
The pair of Portuguese water dogs - Bo with his distinctive white chest and front paws, and the all-black Sunny - are canine ambassadors for the White House, very popular and so in demand that they have schedules, like the president.

The dogs have a pretty nice life. "They can sit on my lap, they sit on my chair, they cuddle with me," Mrs. Obama said. "I like to lay on the floor with them and blow in their face. I like to make them run and chase each other. But they're so cute, I just love to just cuddle them and massage them."

Mrs. Obama said her four-legged family members had been nice overall, but she exposed Sunny's naughtier side.
"You know what she does sometimes? She leaves the kitchen and she'll sneak and she'll go poop on the other end of the White House," the first lady said.

Half black and half white ... living high on the hog on the taxpayers' dime ... Mooch likes to blow in their face ... Mooch has to approve their schedules ... sneaks out of the kitchen and poops on floor on the other end of the White House ... amazing coincidences?

Big question is, where will they be a year from now, when they’re no longer needed as photo props?

I don’t believe a word of it anyway. They’ve had both dogs for years now and both Obamas have the look of someone who’s never held a dog on a leash.
Fortunately for the dogs, it sounds as if the National Park Service/groundskeepers are really the ones raising them - I suspect that’s their REAL family.
Wouldn’t surprise me if they leave the dogs behind at the WH and blame it on their new lease for the $9 mil mansion not allowing pets.
That would be a win-win for the dogs!
Hey all, can you please help me remember the pets names that Obama and family had when they lived in Chicago and he and she were paying their own way; well sorta anyway.
But I seem to have forgotten the names of the special pets that they had loved and kept around for the girls to have as companions while growing up. Obama surely loves his girls and would not deny them puppies.
That dog isn’t HOUSEBROKEN yet??? OMG! Well, neither are its owners.
The Clintons gave their cat away when they left the White House. They left their dog to run loose until he got run over. I doubt the Obamas will be so kind.
