What I discovered as a pro-gun-control member of the NRA (beyond barf alert)
Chicago Tribune ^ | 29 may 2016 | Charles M. Madigan

If the Republicans had nominated a skunk in the contest against Hillary Clinton, the National Rifle Association would have heartily embraced the odoriferous Mr. Stinky.

A week ago, the NRA, which has millions of members and is eager to target congressional races in which guns are an issue, endorsed Donald Trump for president. He spoke, of course.

Hand in the air for emphasis, he told the NRA that Clinton would try to "abolish" the Second Amendment. How does one "abolish" anything in the Constitution? It takes many steps. It's not going to happen.

But that doesn't matter. It was what the NRA's Louisville audience wanted to hear, and, true to form, Trump delivered. In fact, almost any Republican presidential candidate could have delivered to that audience.

The endorsement by the many membered (sic) NRA frightens the left to no end because they KNOW their incessant call for more restrictive control of weapons is a sure loser for them today as it has always been in the past.

The NRA endorsement is by no means a guarantee for any Republican since they do not hand it out to every Rep candidate.

Recall the phrase, “We hate what we most fear”

The government has already pretty much made the 4th amendment obsolete and will continue chipping way until all liberty is gone. The author of the story likely doesn’t care about the truth.

The writer fancies himself an academic, an intellectual.

"If the Republicans had nominated a skunk in the contest against Hillary Clinton, the National Rifle Association would have heartily embraced the odoriferous Mr. Stinky."

An ad hominem attack right out of the box signals that you really have no facts or logic or reason to argue your opponents positions.

If this dipshit actually had a functioning brain he would know that in 1992 the NRA was approximately 1/3 Demwit. 1/3 Republican and 1/3 Independent. Internal surveys showed this. It was the Klintons that began the transition of the NRA to a "Republican Organization" as many now refer to it. No gun owner, NRA Member, GOA Member or any of the other pro-Second Amendment orgs votes Democrat anymore.

During the recent debate/fight over passage of Constitutional Carry in the State of Missouri, every Democrat spoke against it. Every Republican spoke in favor of it. Case closed. F the Democrat Party.

Mr. Stinky? I don’t read editorials by 12 year olds.

Politifact this morning declared the Trump assertion to be “false,” because Hillary! hasn’t said anything about repealing the amendment. That is like saying that Obama never apologized at Hiroshima, because he never said we were sorry. There is what one says, and there is what one means, and it is evident to anyone what both the former SOS and the soon-to-be-former President meant.

How does one "abolish" anything in the Constitution?

First you get control of the Senate.

Then you get control of the SCOTUS.

Then the SCOTUS overturns Heller and McDonald.

Then the SCOTUS sets precedents against the right to bear arms.

At that point you don't have to "amend" the Bill of Rights as the path has been established for any state, city, or community to make it impossible to buy or own guns. Then, the gun control areas establish laws that prevent current owners to transfer or sell their currently owned weapons. Also, decreeing that current gun owners register their guns. Like Buffalo NY, upon death an officer arrives at your home to collect the dead owners guns.

Instead of teaching children how to safety handle guns in our schools, the gun control pukes will indoctrinate the children into the "evil" of guns.

The gun control pukes say it won't happen, but it will.

Try the first Amendment that has been all but abolished in reality, even though it is still in the Constitution, by political correctness and a complicit press. That's how it is done you idiot, Charles M. Madigan. Quit peddling your lies.

From the Chicago newspaper, of course.

” I joined a few years back to see what the NRA was up to. It was my way of infiltrating the organization as a Democrat and supporter of gun controls....

Not that unusual. However, the NRA appreciates your contribution anyway. Might as well join as a life member.

If the Republicans had nominated a skunk in the contest against Hillary Clinton, the National Rifle Association would
have heartily embraced the odoriferous Mr. Stinky.

But they didn't.

However, the democrats will nominate a bitter, corrupt, incompetent, lying, alcoholic shrew who is actually married to a skunk
and the entire political left will heartily embrace her.

Then the SCOTUS sets precedents against the right to bear arms.

Then those WHO GIVE THE ORDERS begin having "accidents" or disappearing.

My guess is hours, based on the reports of shootings/fatalities we frequently see.

The writer also believes that football is too rough a sport and believes he invented certain words like info pimp. I was surprised to learn he had children because he writes like someone with a loose anal sphincter and papilloma virus warts on the mucocutaneous junctions of that area.

Mr. Madigan, I’d support Charlie Sheen and the disease-raddled starlet he rode in on over Hillary Clinton.

Mr. Madigan, I’d support a random drug-addicted, clinically mentally ill homeless person off the street over Hillary Clinton.
