A leading British expert has warned pregnant women and couples looking to conceive to ‘think twice’ about travelling to parts of the US – including Florida, home to Walt Disney World – because of the growing threat of the Zika virus.
Those considering holidays to southern states including Texas, Louisiana and Florida – which contains Miami, Cape Canaveral and the Florida Keys – should look at alternatives, said Professor Jimmy Whitworth of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
There is currently no evidence that mosquitoes on the US mainland are infected with the virus, which can leave babies with under-developed brains if their mothers are infected during pregnancy.
But Prof Whitworth said he believed the situation could change as the summer heat builds and – with it – the number of mosquitoes. His assessment is backed by US scientists.
Prof Whitworth told The Mail on Sunday: ‘At the moment, if you said to me, “I’m going to Disney World tomorrow,” I’d say, “Go for it! That’s fine”.
‘Because we don’t think there’s any Zika in mosquitoes in the US right now. But will there be, in two or three months’ time? Well, there might be, as the situation might change.’
The warning comes after more than 100 scientists said the Rio Olympics should be moved or postponed because of the outbreak. To continue would risk spreading Zika globally, they added.

A Zika epidemic in the U.S. is all the more likely because of Disney’s custom of firing native born American workers and hiring foreign born ‘others’, in order to save money.

The Zika correlation to microencephalopathy I think is unproven. The world keeps hearing this from WHO and then it is repeated ad infinitum in the press. How many times have the UN /globalists perpetrated false narratives to further an agenda? For example go to the library and look at Balkin conflict during the late 90’s. 2 dozen books all pushing the same twisted version of events - every author a UN supporting globalist repeating the same info/disinfo to push an agenda.
I think people are too quick to trust “science” because no one thinks people would knowingly push a lie in these areas.
I’m not claiming I know what’s going on but I don’t believe people should so readily accept what is being pushed in the media any longer while thinking anyone who questions official story lines as conspiracy loons.

I’m no expert either, but I wonder about things when I read articles that say the mosquito itself is here, and migrating thru SoCal like wildfire it seems, although we’ve had a pretty dry winter with cold nights. And I wonder how so many mosquitos of a particular species could fly all the way from Brazil to California in such a short period of time, without wiping out the populations of all the countries inbetween. How did the USA get to be so special so quickly? Or does someone just not want Britons fleeing to the USA?

Have ANY mosquito transmissions in the US been documented? Or have all of them been explained away as sexual transmitted cases?
How is it zika survives in a skeeter but HIV does not?
The mosquito population can be drastically reduced by simply using genetic engineering to breed sterile male mosquitoes and release them into the environment so when the mosquitoes bred there will be no offspring. This has worked well in the Cayman Islands but due to phobias against GMOs it was stopped from being used in the Florida Keys where aerial spraying of pesticides are used to control mosquitoes.
Go figure.
Iv’e often wondered the same about AIDS transmission by mosquito. The only explanation I’ve ever heard was “oh, this is.different...”

Something is causing all of the diseases that have become prevalent. Autism, Ebola, Zika,..... Yet somehow all possible causes are dismissed.

This program was used successfully years ago in the U.S. for the screw worm flies that were harming livestock. The USDA released sterile flies all over the South and the South West and I think there was even a program in Mexico.
