That was baked into the cake with Obamacare.

IMHO there will be no Catholic hospitals within a few years.

Dunno... the sunlight might show that they, and other genuinely faith based hospitals, are doing better than their secular counterparts.

This may be an opportunity wrought of God, rather than something to be fought on a worldly level.

I’m not even Catholic and could already say if I were ill, I think the nuns’ ideas of care would be better than the atheists’.

Unless — the godlessness gang has bitten off more than it can chew because the land finally remembers where its spiritual bread is buttered.

1) Women seeking abortions do not go to Catholic hospitals to get one.

2) Catholic hospitals should not be getting government funds.

These people are so gobsmackingly stupid, it makes my head hurt.

The very thing they wanted, all along, was for someone of little or no means, to be able to walk into a hospital for care. For free. No questions asked. They HAD this before they conscripted these religious hospitals into cooperating with gov’t run health care (Medicare/Medicaid) in the 1960’s.

I don’t have the time to find it now, but Dr. Ron Paul has talked about this extensively before, as he was a practicing physician in those days - not a member of Congress. He insists, correctly, that this screwed up the whole thing.

Now, because gov’t is in the picture, the charity hospitals have to change. meh

Trump needs to address this issue, fast.

Stand with the nuns.

2) Catholic hospitals should not be getting government funds.

If they are being compelled to provide care to those who cannot afford such by the State and Federal Gov, then yes, they should be getting government funding. However, there should be no compunction to perform medical procedures that violate their charter.

I have a family member who was recently discharged from a hospital that USED to be Catholic, but is now run by a large healthcare conglomerate.

We all remarked on how much better his care would have been fifty years ago with the nuns in charge. True, they did not have all this lifesaving technology. But the basic caring for people (cleanliness, attentiveness, basic concern for the patient’s well-being) was infinitely better.

It has taken a very long time for many Conservatives to understand that the Fabian Socialist/Communist alliance that led to the founding of the ACLU, was never interested in protecting Religious liberty in America: Leftwing Word Games & Religious Liberty.

Some, women would go to a catholic hospital for an abortion.

They are those that want to file a lawsuit against the hospital.

Who goes to a chinese restaurant and sues the place because they wont make them lasagna? Someone who wants to file a lawsuit against them.
