President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama have leased a spectacular 8,200 square-foot home in one of DC's most elegant neighborhoods as their first post-White House dwelling. The $4.3 million home features plenty of room for the Obamas to stretch out – with separate dressing rooms and his and her bathrooms, entertaining space, and a tranquil garden. It is good to be the King. You know Michelle is just chopping on the bit to acquire a multi-hundred million fortune like the Clintons.

Heck, there’s got to be lots of empty rooms now at Guantanamo - all paid for by the taxpayers.

Besides, Cuba has much better weather than DC.

I suggest they go there.

Even the Obamas, with lifetime Secret Service security, are afraid to move back to Chicago.

Have you gone to the site? JMHO, but the house is AWFUL. It’s a beautiful, stately, old brick house on the outside. Inside the décor is almost all white walls with everything white, grey or black. Living in that thing would give me a constant headache! Besides that, it seems that it doesn’t have much land.

With all of those bedrooms maybe they can take in some Syrian refuse. That being said, it’s a beautiful home.

He could have leased blocks in Detroit for that amount. If he were a tad short, I would gladly help out.

I'm actually surprised President Obama hasn't considered moving back to Hawaii, the place he spent much of his childhood (he could easily many of the plate lunch stores in the Honolulu area).

Supposedly the Obamas will stay in DC until the younger daughter graduates from Sidwell & Friends.

Limbaugh nailed this some time ago. Barry is going to hang around D.C. and become the shadow POTUS. Always spouting off on whatever his successor does, attacking if they try to undo his executive orders, etc.

He’s still young so we can look forward to many decades of this garbage.
