Legislators Blast DOJ Double Standard: Rancher Finicum vs. Occupy Leftists
The New American ^ | 24 May 2016 | William F. Jasper

Seven state legislators from Arizona have called upon the attorneys general of the states of Arizona, Nevada “and any other states with standing,” to bring legal action against Oregon law-enforcement officials and prosecutors, as well as against the FBI, over the shooting death this past January of Arizona rancher Robert Lavoy Finicum.

In a letter to Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich and Nevada Attorney General Adam Paul Laxalt, the Arizona lawmakers contrast the extreme treatment accorded Finicum, the Bundy ranching family, and their supporters versus the kid-glove treatment given to the violent and destructive leftist demonstrators of the various “Occupy” movements.

In the media and government, both, it’s open season on conservatives.

This tyranny will end when the American people collectively decide to end it or until the people are disarmed by the NWO/DC tyrants at which time it will become the way of life in America.

Of course the authorities are partisan hypocrites.

However, the big mistake of the Oregon group was to have guns. These were not necessary for the “Occupy” type of point they were making and made it easy for the opposition to brand them a bunch of dangerous nuts. This was a fundamental error.

In fact they should have “occupied”, unarmed, a much more public place.

The 0ccutards did multiple millions of dollars of damage in cities throughout the US, squatting in public parks and municipal buildings, denying access to services and businesses, leaving tons of refuse on the ground, defecating and urinating in public, harassing pedestrians and motorists, blocking traffic, rioting, looting, committing arson, and even rape and murder.

AFAIK, not eve ONE of the 0ccuturd leaders was tried, convicted, and sentenced.

Senator Fauxcahontas Warren and even the 0bola itself lauded the 0ccutards for exercising their freedom of expression.

hmmmm.....my two cents is that they probably thought when they conceived this event that the Feds would turn tail and run like they did at the Bundy Ranch.

I think the lesson learned here is that IF YOU ARE GOING TO FLASH GUNS.....,,,,.you better be ready to use them. They found they weren’t.

“However, the big mistake of the Oregon group was to have guns”

We should all remember they were at a wildlife refuge. You know, a public hunting area.........a place where guns are expected and allowed.

Yes, and occupying public property and by implication daring the authorities to evict them. While armed.
Its not prudent to make even implied threats like this, unless they were actually inviting violence, in which case it was also poorly thought out.

Also, its not prudent to make such a demonstration in such an isolated place. At least the Bundy’s in Nevada attracted crowds of sympathisers as witnesses.

Their cause is fundamentally sympathetic, and it can be pushed in a way that will invite public support and shame the bureaucrats, but that will require a very different approach.

Hurrah! Come on States. You are the last and best, Constitutional entity to stand up to a rogue DC (USG). Act now on this issue and many others or become irrelevant, leaving We The People no peaceful remedy.

Something like this -

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/2274129.stm

May work very well - not a march on Washington, but, perhaps, a march on Portland, Reno, Las Vegas, etc.
And cowboys have a much better public image than aristocratic fox hunters.

Never said it was prudent or a great idea, just that the area that they occupied was one of the only fed gov places where guns are allowed. A fact often overlooked.

If you are going to face off with people that only know how to use hammers, don’t look like a bunch of nails. Occupy downtown Portland with a bunch of cattle and the government wouldn’t know what to do.
