My point is that people on this forum are calling for "fairness" when in fact their definition of fairness seems to be situational.How so? The substantive differences have already been outlined.

Simply that people are calling for Facebook to be forced to change their business practices while in other situations these same people are calling for businesses to be left alone and to be run how the owners see fit.
It has nothing to do with the government. It has to do with hypocrisy. There's a difference between saying, "We should boycott Facebook" and "Facebook should be made to give equal regard to all political topics."

Simply that people are calling for Facebook to be forced to change their business practices...I didn't get that at all.
Granted, a government official was investigating allegations, which would seem appropriate given the "commerce" aspects of the company, but where did I miss the "force" aspect of this story?
