IF I decide to move back here to my hometown I’ve decided on Ocean Beach becausetwdted Louie LOVED Dog Beach! He loved the water, the other dogs, running off leash and frolicking in the waves. Amazing! He had such a good time. He didn’t want to leave. He was happy to lie in the sun on a towel and he located the fresh water bowl all the dogs use even though we brought him his own. The beach even provides a doggie shower to rinse the sand from the dogs before putting them into cars/SUV/Jeeps.
All the dogs were nice and played nicely together. The owners were all nice too. All ages in both dogs and owners.
I was very pleased. Of course, this was only my first visit but a busy Saturday gave me a good indication. I’ll be going back Monday and everyday throughout the week to make certain and also to drive up and down some neighboring streets to see if I can spot available real estate/rentals.

Great choice of area. Point Loma to the south. Close to Sea World, the airport, Shelter Island and Harbor Drive, and easy to get to downtown from there.
Lots of activities at OB. Used to be a sleepy place years ago, but it is a happening place now.
Dog Beach sounds like fun.
