Politics Texas Gov: JFK Wanted To Send Man To Moon — Obama Wants To Send Man To Ladies Room

Alex Pappas Political Reporter 1:46 PM 05/17/2016

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Wednesday criticized the Obama administration’s new directive on bathrooms for transgender public school students by saying: “JFK wanted to send a man to the moon. Obama wants to send a man to the women’s restroom.”

“We must get our country back on track,” Abbott, a Republican, added.

Senate approves new Army secretary after Guantanamo delay

By RICHARD LARDNER

Associated Press
Published: May 17, 2016

WASHINGTON — The Senate confirmed the long-stalled nomination of Eric Fanning to be Army secretary, making him the first openly GAY leader of a U.S. military service.

The voice vote approval Tuesday came after Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan., dropped his opposition to Fanning.

Greg Abbott

Greg Abbott, the 48th Governor of Texas, continues building on his record of strong, conservative leadership. Previously the longest-serving Attorney General in Texas history and a Justice on the Texas Supreme Court, Governor Abbott has long defended the constitutional principles on which this state and our nation were founded.

Governor Abbott’s vision for an even stronger Texas of tomorrow is focused on creating more jobs and economic opportunity, elevating our schools and education system, building the transportation infrastructure needed to keep the economy growing and securing the Texas border in the face of federal inaction.

Understanding it is Washington that is broken, not America, and that Texas must lead the way for our nation, Governor Abbott continues to fight to preserve our shared values—like faith, family and freedom—for future generations.

Knowing Obama will stoop to any level, I’ll be surprised if Obama let’s this go without some kind of juvenile response. Fair odds he’ll make it about race.

On Greg Abbots personal life, he hasn’t let tragedy slow him down. He was jogging when he was about 26-27 and a tree fell on him. He has been in a wheelchair ever since but he has not let it slow him down! Quite a man!
