Cruz is going around giving campaign speeches after he pulled out. He’s a putz.

“Trump is our last chance at keeping our country. If we do not stop the illegal alien inundation and colonization, we lose everything.”

You have hit the nail squarely on the head.

Stopping the illegal invasion of our country, and ejecting all of the illegals presently here, are the two paramount jobs for the next president.

Unless those two things are done, nothing else matters, because there won’t be an America to defend any longer.

Trump got the nod from the voters because he was the only candidate who was credible on the issue.

Precisely illegal immigration is the only issue. If we don’t get a handle on that all the debates about every other topic have no meaning.

Time for people to wake up and support Trump — may be our last chance to save the nation.

“Trump is a Reagan Democrat.”

I don’t see that. What I do see, is a man who loves this country, and puts America FIRST.

I see Trump as a throwback to the kind of people who made America great to begin with. The kind of man who’s not easily pigeonholed into one political camp or another. His brand of Americanism is more primal than that, and is precisely what this country needs at this time.

It also helps that he’s a born leader, and has his eyes firmly fixed on correcting our nation’s most urgent problems. Given the chance, I think he’ll bring all of his learned executive skills, life experience, and character traits to bear, against the forces that are seeking to destroy this country.

Although he’ll likely do some things I disagree with, all in all, it’s going to be a wonderful time to be a patriot.

“Trump is the last hope for the angry white American.”

A lot of us melanin enriched Americans feel the same way.

My brother wrote a letter to his paper in Colorado.

He essentially said if Trump was only successful in dealing with the illegal invasion, and the Islamic radicals we could all go back to happily arguing over what was conservative (#1 and #2 in the article).

(donning asbestos underwear) Trump is a Reagan Democrat.

OK. As long as he draws over some Democrats who can't stand Clinton, that's cool.

All I care about, right now, is reversing the demographic changes which will, by 2020, guarantee that no Conservative will ever be elected to national office.

All other issues can wait.

I too initially was for Cruz. I admired the stands he took in the Senate. Trump got my attention with The Wall. Cruz lost me when he got cozy with the GOP Establishment. And he continues to compromise his principles to satisfy his ego.

Everyone on the stage at the first debate pledged to support the GOP nominee - except Trump. In a complete turnaround, most have gone back on their word. Cruz has lost respect, when he could have been more.

Your brother has crystal clear eyesight. The illegal invasion/colonization of our country is the ONLY issue, going forward.

Every other issue must take a back seat to that, as it represents the greatest existential threat we face.

Other issues, such as Islamic terror, may run a close second, but we’re not going to have a country much longer if we don’t get a handle on the invasion.

I will happily go back to arguing about political ideology once that problem is fixed.

I turned much earlier than the writer here.

Trump first gained my attention when he not just survived but actually gained via his anti-PC counter-attack against megyn the meager maggot.

Trump clinched me when he called for a temporary moratoriam against muslim immigration after Paris. Waiting for Cruz to offer his solution, which took a whole day, then actually hearing it ended all my doubts about who should be the GOP nominee and next president: Trump, the whole Trump, and nothing but the Trump.

The news coverage of Trump is hilarious. He took out 16 candidates and, despite some statistical tricky-dicky with polls, nobody ever posted number near his. But everybody hates him and he’s totally divisive. Fact is, Trump is a powerhouse and the only two Democraps are geriatric LAME-Os. The DNC and lapdog media are positively freaking out, this is all a slow-motion train wreck for them.

I would put three of them together, ALL three being of greatest importance together:

1. Stop the Illegal invasion.
2. Crush Islamists (don't let them in either!)
3. Reset the economy to its prior strength.

Without #3, you can't do #1 or #2.

Like you said, I'd be happy to go back to dickering what's conservative. Go Trump! Beat her sick old rear end back to where she belongs. Let's do this and make America great again.

Yeah, it’s totally weird. And then there’s Cruz’s whole argument of “Trump gave all kinds of money to Democrat politicians”, which Rush and the paid shills (Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, etc.) picked up and pounded the drum with until it broke. They don’t think we’re smart enough to understand that that’s what you do in business. You contribute money to ALL of the candidates when you’re a President/CEO/Chairman/Owner. Then, no matter who wins, you can say to them truthfully at an expensive lunch, “I contributed to your campaign.” Really, it’s insulting that Cruz and the talk radio circuit thinks we’re too naive to understand that. The purposely cherry-picked their list and said, “He gave money to Hillary and Schumer and all kinds of other New York Democrats!!!” How many Repubs were on that list? They’ll never say.

The world of business is a hardball world, that’s why I want Trump. I’m sick of Republican candidates that want to be known as a nice old guy who works with the other side of the aisle. That’s all a euphemism for being a pushover who negotiates away all his advantages and gives away the store just to say, “We made a deal! See how great I am at bringing us all together?!” (It’s how O “negotiates” with Iran and other middle-eastern thugs. It’s a damn disgrace.) When you negotiate, you play to win. I’m sick of Repub sell-outs who lets the other side dictate all the terms of everything and get everything they want.

And of course Cruz also pledged to support the nominee. I’m sure he would use his lawyerly skills to say Trump isn’t the nominee until the convention, so undermining him now doesn’t break his pledge. Just like he said he has “no intention” of ever supporting amnesty. He can’t help himself, it’s in his nature.

I don’t completely disagree with your priorities (hey, we can walk and chew gum at the same time), but we don’t have to reset the economy to enforce our immigration laws.

In fact, even without the Wall, we can reverse the invasion problem, provided enforcement is ruthless, and maybe even painful.

No prob, no real argument here, just chewing and walking.......

:-)

I don't think we can do the wall and win the war on these folks (illegals, Islamists, and *shudder* illegal Islamists) without long term economic strength.

Just a handy dandy hint from the Gipper.
