Carson was Probably the least knowledgable of all the candidates..probably ran the worst campaign of all the candidates
Probably the worst choice he could make other than palin
..he would sink trump like the titanic
I’m taking your no & quadrupling it!
“Trump will pick Newt Gingrich because he needs someone who knows how the Legislative Branch works.”
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Very bad choice, very bad reasoning.
The main criteria right now in a VP is: how will it help win the election? Gingrich adds nothing - doesn’t add a state, doesn’t enhance a demographic. He is 72. He has baggage out the wazoo. Trump doesn’t need a VP to show him how DC works - any number of staff people can do that. That is the least of our worries.
We need to win the election. Every other criteria for a VP choice is WAY down the list. So the VP choice has to either win a battle ground state, or bolster a complementary demographic.
Carson may not be a bad choice. He would be MUCH better than Gingrich, Hunter, Sessions, Cruz, or Demint.
WE HAVE TO WIN THE ELECTION !!! EVERYTHING ELSE WILL TAKE CARE OF ITSELF AFTER THAT !!!!
I’m sorry, but the picking of a VP of pure raw politics.
JFK hated LBJ, and vice versa, but Kennedy needed a win in Texas to be elected President.
The appointment of a Black man, no matter how qualified, will not bring the Black vote. J.C. Watts never got the Black vote.
Trump is smart. He will pick a Hispanic, win, and reverse Obamaism.
Period.
Bingo.
1. Dr. Carson doesn’t have the vision to be POTUS, if necessary
2. It would make President Trump an assassination target for every thug who thinks skin color should be the first qualification for POTUS (even after 8 years of the Homo Kenyan).
No.
Your just full of bad ideas.
Jim DeMint
Duncan D Hunter
Allen West
Duncan Hunter Jr. makes the most sense. Many here have not heard of him and therefore should do their homework. His resume is incredible.
Newt is too old. What makes you think Newt would want to preside over the Senate? He’d have much more influence guiding Trump through the beltway maze. Trump knows he needs to learn a lot and learn it fast. Newt is the ideal resource.
Trump takes the presidency and his company seriously. He would not bring his kids on board for this position. They are running Trump enterprises.
This isn’t rocket surgery if people would just stop thinking with their glands.
West would be a good candidate. He loves America, and is loyal.
I second your motion. Newt is brilliant and would serve as good counsel for Trump. Carson is brilliant and not sufficient to serve as counsel.
Carson as VP would decrease the racism talk from the opposition. But I think enough blacks are voting for Trump already, like 30%, so racism criticisms can be ignored.
Anyway, it is a bit like silly season here with VP picks--some for race, gender, etc. Always an angle. Trump says he wants someone that can help with politics, help with government, and Congress. That narrows the list way down. I personally like Christie; Gingrich was be an interesting choice as well.
Definite No to the other failed candidates, to Martinez, Halley, etc.
Santorum?! That’d be as bad as picking Cruz. Brings absolutely nothing to the table.
I didn’t realize that Wyoming picked the V.P.
Hey, doesn’t Cheney live in WY? I see a conspiracy.
Susana Martinez rings all 5 bells
Republican
Hispanic
Woman
Governor
Conservative
She is the 31st and current Governor of New Mexico and current chairwoman of the Republican Governors Association.[1][2] A Republican, Martinez was elected Governor on November 2, 2010, and was sworn into office on January 1, 2011, becoming the first Hispanic woman governor.[3]
Born in El Paso, Texas, Martinez is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Law. After graduating from college and being admitted to the State Bar of New Mexico, she began her career as an assistant district attorney for New Mexico’s 3rd Judicial District in Las Cruces in 1986, before being appointed deputy district attorney in 1992. She then ran for District Attorney for the 3rd Judicial District in Doña Ana County, New Mexico, in 1996 after joining the Republican Party and defeating her former boss; she served three terms as district attorney from 1997 to 2011.
After incumbent Governor Bill Richardson was term limited, Martinez declared her candidacy for the governorship. She won in a five-candidate Republican primary and went on to defeat the former Lieutenant Governor of New Mexico Diane Denish with 53% of the vote in the general election. Four years later, she was reelected in a landslide against Attorney General Gary King. She is the first woman to be elected Governor of New Mexico and the first Hispanic female governor in the United States.[4][5][6] In 2013, she was named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world.[7]
“Trump will pick Newt Gingrich because he needs someone who knows how the Legislative Branch works. Carson has a place, but not as VP.”
I agree with you.
Carson is a great guy, but would not be the right VP choice.
There are lots of other opportunities for him now and in the future.
