Donald Trump on education: Wrong, wrong and wrong
Washington Post ^ | May 8, 2016 | Valerie Strauss

Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, doesn’t talk all that much about education issues, but when he does, it is usually about the Common Core, rankings and spending. And usually he is wrong, wrong and wrong.

In one Trump ad this year, he hit all three in just a few sentences:

“I’m a tremendous believer in education. But education has to be at a local level. We cannot have the bureaucrats in Washington telling you how to manage your child’s education. So Common Core is a total disaster. We can’t let it continue. We are rated 28th in the world, the United States. Think of it, 28th in the world. And, frankly, we spend far more per pupil than any other country in the world. By far. It’s not even a close second.”

When public education is as screwed up as it is today, I don’t know how any ditz working for the WaPo can say any changes to it are “wrong, wrong, wrong”. The public “schools” in America are a disgraceful joke. They should be ashamed of themselves for asking the taxpayers for money all of the time.

“The most recent PISA results available, from 2012, show the United States ranked 17th out of 34 countries and school systems in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in reading, 27th in math and 20th in science. Not the top, but not the bottom.”

This is what Common Corpse thinking does: mediocrity becomes acceptable and even excellent.

The decline in worldwide standing in education can, in part, be attributed the massive influx of immigrants.

You hardly ever see liberals smile. Well that makes sense since they spend all their time inflicting pain and horror on everyone with all of their bad policies.

Allow me to translate into non-verminese: I am a liberal hired by liberals to attack Trump using education as a weapon. As everyone else in my newsroom is doing. ‘Blah, blah, blah. Trump is wrong, bad, dangerous, other.’

She is ignorant. The education system is by the Constitution allocated to the STATES. The Feds are not supposed to have any say in education. Another case where the Constitution has been ignored so that big government could take control of the minds of our young. Trump will end the dept of “Education’ and send the responsibility back to the states where it belongs.

It's far worse than that!

Even though the private schools aren't required to use COMMIE CORE, the SATs and ACTs use it and so the MOST expensive and ELITE school have to sort of teach it/teach it for College Entrance type exams.

And since there is now talk about how robots are going to be doing everything, even building and fixing themselves, people are going to be obsolete. Worse, with the dumbing down of Americans, many won't even mind about that.

So the Washington Compost thinks Trump is wrong about something? That sort of flak must mean he's RIGHT OVER THE TARGET!

This is a crisis we'd better get a handle on before it's too late -- if it isn't already!

Having the state provide education at any level is a mistake. The higher the level the worse the outcome. Common core is the worst of the worst of a bad idea.

It’s the parents that are wrong.

In the suburbs where there are “intact” and involved parents the results are still pretty good.

But when the parents are absent and babies themselves, there is no way their kids are going to do well in school.
