Death by monster is almost always a better explanation than death by stupidity.

Nature has a way of weeding stupid people out of the gene pool

"I would love to have a mailing address in Pope Lick."

Be sure to visit this State Park less than an hour away from Louisville:
"Big Bone Lick State Park is located at Big Bone in Boone County, Kentucky. It is located on Beaver Road and between the communities of Beaverlick and Rabbit Hash."

None of these names are going to last too long in today's political climate.

Do you have any idea what the word lick means in these place names?

I airways thought “lick” place names came from natural salt licks that drew deer and other wildlife.

Harry Baals Avenue in Fort Wayne. Had to be renamed, street signs kept disappearing.

We used to know a guy named Dick Ball who lived on Cox Street...:)

True story. His poor kids were tortured!

A friend of mine met a man in Colorado named Dick Head.

I think I would have to be called Richard and maybe change my last name to Smith.

I went through basic training many years ago with Richard Kum. He knew he was going to be a target for DIs going in, and handled it well.

Worked with a guy named Richard Long.

Mother was born in Rabbit Flat.

Used to travel for work frequently around Monkey’s Eyebrow.

Kentucky is a neat place.
