They should be getting a bit “torn” - they made a deal to spit on the People and the People have started talking even louder...

I went to Red State to read up on this some to see why Cruz delegates would be nervous. There is apparently some form of it not mattering what happens from here out election wise, but only delegate wise and the rule making. So, if Cruz loses Indiana, then the focus changes from preventing Trump from getting to 1237 by primaries and to changing the rules so that the accomplishment does not mean a first ballot nomination. No?

From that perspective, these Cruz delegates could be finding it difficult to understand how it is that they are supposed to not even nominate Trump if he gets to 1237. But that is the plan they are being signed on to apparently.

This has to be read from Red State to see the depths of their planning and why some delegates might be freaking out.

It's getting pretty weird for sure. I am glad to have this whole tier of "control" exposed. They have nearly ruined the country with their seeming inflexible ideology and "no" votes and "against" votes while not winning a thing. They have made me complicit for far too long and now we are at the point of no return. It isn't enough for me to be one of those who can see the hand basket any more, let's do something already outside of "I told you so" and "I warned you".

From the Red State article:

“The obvious path in this strategy is for the insurgent delegates to hijack the rules committee and strip many of the Trump delegates of their credentials. They don’t have to create a first round victory for Not Trump, they merely have to deny Trump a victory. If this happens, Trump and his clown posse will leave the convention in a huff, Roger Stone’s flying monkeys will get a well deserved wood shampoo from Cleveland’s finest and then an actual nominee will be selected.

Once Trump is gone, then the real dogfight starts. Cruz may or may not prevail. And Cruz undoubtedly knows this. If he isn’t able to win on a second ballot then the doors are wide open to a compromise candidate. That will not be some go-along-get-along apparatchik anointed by the GOP leadership. Delegates that have carried off this coup will never, ever agree to that. We could see Rubio reemerge as a contender. Or Rick Perry. Or Scott Walker. Or someone else but whoever it is will be a quantum leap over Donald Trump.”

This is what I have thought will happen for a long time.

I have said for a long time that Cruz is being used as a tool to stop Trump. Just as the media is. Just as the party bosses are.

The candidate will be either Trump or someone acceptable to the GOPe.

My thought is they will strip some Trump delegates of their credentials. They will hold the first ballot at a time and place when delegates can not be there. Perhaps work with the Soros thugs to block traffic.

After the first ballot the new narrative will be that Republicans need a “dream team” to unify the party and defeat Hillary.

The narrative will be that the party needs to put the bad blood behind them from the ugly, divisive and distasteful primaries and find a fresh intelligent candidate who can unite the party and win. I think the Cruz delegates are starting to realize that they are being used. They are realizing that there are those scheming to disenfranchise the voters and let Hillary Clinton win in the general election. The delegates do not want to have to go back to their home states and have to explain why they have been a part of this scheming. They do not want to be a part of this.

Well, my thought is this is all bluster, that it will never happen. Trump will secure the nomination on the first ballot because of support from most factions of the GOP. #nevertrump will be the ones leaving the convention. In my view, they should never be let in and allowed any time at all talking about how Trump blows up the world if he wins in the General Election.

They are making their "black lists" and so forth, I say let them leave and run their 3rd party candidate, OR, suck it up and LOSE finally. It will be hard for them, they just can't stand it, so they just might have to pack the scarf and put it on the stick and move on down the tracks. But so what. Good riddance already, I'm way tired of being called deaf, dumb, and blind.

That is what the article said. That is the plan.

I agree that it may not happen. I hope not.

I think that as delegates become aware of the plan they start to get upset.

I see the Don's number right at 1255 in Cleveland with Indiana's win tomorrow.

I just want all these poached Tedlim delegates to cry sweet tears when a huge chunk of the Tedlims who must be Donelgates for one vote, create the first-ballot win for Trump.

If you Tedlims are smart (and you're not) you'll skip first ballot and vote Trump by acclimation and deny me some Schadenfreude.

Exactly, I agree. #nevertrump thinks everyone thinks like they do. Dispense with Trump, then get on with business as usual. When delegates begin to understand that this is their job, to do the bidding of just a few against so many, then they start to wonder about the "fairness" of the plan.

It really is comical the corner that Krystal, National Review, Red State, Erick Erickson and The Resurgent, et. al. have painted themselves in to. It isn't any surprise that they still publicly rally around the vision of sending Trump packing at the RNC. lol

All of these new voters with twice the number of ears, and they shun them as if invaders, or in some circles pretend that they will just as easily or more so follow Cruz once introduced. Pandemonium by unforced errors all the way to this day by both the GOP and the #nevertrumpers. It has been a ridiculous demonstration of how to squander any power and influence one may have by showing how completely ineffectual your power and influence really are.

Look for a wholesale leaving of delegates from Cruz to Trump.

His supporters now are the freaks.

The good people, who supported Scruz, have left that sinking ship.
