Hillary attempted to, and thought she had, destroyed all the emails on her server. Through diligent work as part of a criminal investigation, the FBI has apparently recovered at least some of the destroyed emails. It would seem to me to be appropriate to retain secrecy of those recovered files until the criminal investigation is ended. Had there been no criminal investigation, there would be no emails to expose.
