As a 12-year old my Father owned a retail Fish store on Vesterbrogade Copenhagen about 4-5 block from the “French” school. My older brothers rushed to the site to render help/assistance!!!
The school was a Catholic girl school and happened during a sophisticated plan of bombing the Nazi HQ in the center of Copenhagen, called Shell-Huset. A lead RAF plan hit a tall light post at the Central Railway station and crashed into the school and other planes following, thought that was the real target, and dropped more bombs there, SADLY !!!
